Are you finished with your shopping??
🐾🙌🏻⭐️ I Love volunteering with the playgroup dogs at Seminole County Animal Services. My mentor Dee Hoult has shared some great insight to Shelter Dogs. Here are five common misconceptions about shelter dogs:1. **Behavior Issues**: Many people believe that shelter dogs have behavioral problems that make them difficult to train or adopt. In reality, many are simply victims of circumstance and can be well-adjusted and loving pets.2. **Age and Health**: There's a misconception that shelter dogs are mostly old or unhealthy. However, shelters often have a variety of ages, breeds, and healthy dogs looking for homes, including puppies.3. **Unpredictable Breeds**: Some assume that mixed-breed dogs are less predictable in temperament and behavior. In truth, many mixed breeds can be stable, friendly, and great companions, often benefiting from the best traits of their parent breeds.4. **Less Loyalty**: There's a belief that shelter dogs are less loyal or grateful than those acquired from breeders. In fact, many shelter dogs form strong bonds with their adopters, often showing immense gratitude and loyalty.5. **Limited Options**: Some think that adopting from a shelter means compromising on breed or appearance. Shelters typically have a wide variety of breeds and sizes, allowing adopters to find a dog that fits their preferences and lifestyle.
You and I go to work every day. Why are you not “working” your pup each day as well.Mental stimulation/enrichment is equally as important as physical exercise.Last night while feeding the cats. I had Bree in a down stay. I continued to move the cat’s food closer to her to test her ability to remain composed and calm. SHE DID GREAT! What enrichment do you provide your pup each day?
One week till Black Friday Sales!!
Are you ready to save some money??
My boy!!!
Mullet is growing so much.
Check out that down stay!!
Do you have land where a dog can run, do you have a fence that has a secure area for a dog to run?
I am offering 10 free visits to anyone who adopts Mullet. The purpose of the ten visits is to work on training, helping Mullet bond with his new owner, and any other transitional topics, concerns or issues that might rise.
Special thanks to my friend Melissa , who has talked to me absolutely every day helping me help Mullet. She has walked me through this whole process, and Mullet and I thank her so very much.
