Here is a recent update on Samson. Because he is a good minded mustang, and he’s a little on the more reactive side, I have decided to slow down my process with him and take my time to get him over his reactiveness. This was a gigantic leap in his training from being a horse that tried to strike at the plastic when it was 5 feet away from him to allowing me to place a big tarp on his back and move it around while he was walking/trotting. I am going to try to continue his training at the slower pace to create a more trustworthy horse.
Unrelated, I have been going through some mental health issues and have decided to pull out from the competition. I believe that it is the best choice for sampson and I at this time of our lives. He will be up for real adoption after him finished with his training.
