Rainbow Dog Grooming is permanently closed.

The RDG family and the Fargo Moorhead community have been so overwhelmingly supportive as I have tried to keep the salon going these last few months. But the reality is that I can no longer physically do the job, and have been unable to find someone to fill the grooming role at the salon. There may come a time in the future when I can rejoin the local pet industry, but for now the doors have been closed.

For those wondering about where to go now, I know that finding a new groomer can be difficult. The grooming industry is always busy. While I do not know which salons may have availability at this time, I know that our local community has a number of excellent groomers. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Rainbow Dog Grooming in the past four years. It was an amazing experience.

I am now offering dog walking and petsitting!

While I look for another groomer to help at the salon, I will be offering dog walks, home visits, and petsitting for the Fargo/Moorhead area. These services are currently available for scheduling on the Square app.

Things to note:
- Meet and Greet appointments MUST be made before any walks or visits are scheduled.
- Current RDG customers will receive a 10% discount on their first three appointments!
- If your pet has special needs, I am happy to work with them in whatever way serves them best.
- Weekend and evening hour are available upon request.

Hello RDG family,

I unfortunately have some sad news. For the time being, I will no longer be accepting grooming appointments. Despite my best efforts I have not been able to fully recover from my ongoing tendon and nerve damage in my arms and hands. All grooming services have been removed from the salon's Square booking system, and all currently scheduled appointments will be cancelled. (Don't worry, I will be giving everyone a call to make sure there is no confusion or miscommunication!)

That being said, I will continue to serve the Fargo/Moorhead pet community as best I can. I hope to hire a new groomer at the salon as soon as possible. And I will be offering dog walking and home visits in the meantime (Keep an eye out for the post about these services.)

If you know of a groomer who would be interested in working at an eco-friendly, one-on-one, humanity-focused salon, have them email me to ask for an application and interview!

It's been a long time since we've posted puppy pics!
For those who don't know, I have had some major health issues the last few months, and I'm still working on getting better. But I am doing what I can when I can! If you have any questions about services, please feel free to call or email.

RDG fam,

Some of you may have noticed that full service haircuts are not currently available on the Square booking site. At this time I am still unable to complete most haircuts due to loss of strength and feeling in my hands. I am however doing my best to meet the needs of the dogs while balancing my own health.
If your pet is in need of a face, feet, and/or sani trim, this option is still available for booking. If you have any questions about any other trimming services at this time, please email me at [email protected] and I will do what I can.

We are really close to reaching our goal!

The support that the salon and I have already received is unbelievable, and I cannot thank you all enough. Knowing that the salon can be taken care of while I'm away is such a great relief. There is an end in sight now!

Thank you so, so much to everyone who has donated and/or spread the word. I cannot say how much relief it brings me to know that I will be able to keep the salon standing while I am healing. I cannot wait to be back with the doggos again as soon as I can.

Rainbow Dog Grooming is my life. I love grooming, I love owning my own business, and I love being a part of the FM pet community.

I'm also struggling right now. Herniated discs are no fun, and I am currently unable to groom. I am working with my docs and doing everything I can to get back to the salon as soon as I can.

If you're a member of the RDG family, you've probably noticed all the plants we have in the salon. We really mean it when we say "Green" Grooming! 🌿🌿🌿
Well, now some of those plants can be yours! After cutting back some of the more exuberant plants we have a TON of propagations! Pothos, geraniums, sweet potato vine, pepperomia, and more!
If you're interested in purchasing one, stop in during our business hours. Plants can make a great Valentine's gift or a bright addition to the home during these grey winter months.
