If you live in South Walton county, along the 30A corridor, (Santa Rosa Beach Donut Hole to Inlet Beach Donut Hole) 30ACats will assist you in trapping and neutering, and returning your community cats. Please complete a TNR agreement. The cost per community cat is about $95- $130 which includes spay/neuter, ear tip, rabies, and distemper vaccination. Some communities like Seacrest and WaterSound pay these costs through their Home Owners Association. If you are able to help with this cost, we appreciate it greatly - 30ACats main mission is to reduce the population of community cats through TNR, education, and adoption. 30A Cats does not relocate cats and does not have a physical shelter at this time.
If you live in the larger neighboring counties, (Bay County or Okaloosa County) please contact your local rescue organizations.

Sonic and Shadow are 3 month old male tuxedo kitties. They are still a little shy and need more attention to get to a trusting place. They sure love the fosters kitty so they’d do well with a more senior kitty in their furever home! Send us an application if you’d like to be considered as their Cat Daddy or cat Mama!

Meet Cappuccino! He was found alone near the
Cafe 30A! He has been very shy. He would do well in a quiet household and one with another kitty that he can learn from. He lets us hold him and he has a very strong purr but he’ll still bolt! He needs time to bond with his new family slowly so that he has time to trust and know that he’s safe. Send us an application if you’d like to be considered!

Jordan is a 3.5 month old kitten. Found in a colony near South Wall Street - Inlet Beach.
He has an Extra soft coat with a couple small white spots on belly and chest.
Very shy, he can be picked up and has been around dogs through a gate. He will hiss slightly because he’s scared, not mean. He loves to play with other cats and will purr for you after awhile. He should go to a quiet home with another cat. He will be a really sweet boy once he’s comfortable and feels safe.

Sandy is just about ready to find her new Cat Daddy and/or Cat Mama! She is a Maine Coon mix that has had some time trusting. But she now enjoys being held and loves full body rubs! She may not sit on your lap for long but she’s going to be a wonderful companion. We’d like to find a quiet home for her where she can continue to come out of her shell. But you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful and loyal cat that deserves a warm and loving home.

Before TNR
For more than a century, the American shelter and animal control system has been relying on catching and killing outdoor cats to control their population. This approach continues to fail, and the number of outdoor cats increases despite the millions of vibrant, healthy outdoor cats who are killed each year. Taxpayer money that funds shelters and animal control agencies is wasted on an endless cycle of trapping and killing. Increasingly, the public agrees that the money spent on killing could and should be re-allocated to programs that help animals.
With catch and kill policies, cats are removed from an area in the hopes that the population will never bounce back. But removing cats only creates a vacuum in the environment, where new cats move in to take advantage of available resources. The new cats quickly breed and the cat population rebounds, or even grows. Catch and kill policies are not only cruel and ineffective, they are the antithesis of the compassionate values of the public, which overwhelmingly supports humane, effective policies and programs for cats.
After TNR
Through TNR, adult cats, who have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and eartipped, are returned to their outdoor homes to live out their lives with their feline families. Many of these cats have dedicated caregivers, who provide food and outdoor shelter with their own time and money.
TNR balances the needs and concerns of community cats and the people among whom they live. The fact is people don’t want cats rounded up and killed. When citizens bring a cat to an animal shelter, they do so believing the cat will be safe and cared for, not terrified in a cage for days only to be killed. What the people want are cat populations stabilized through humane methods that bring cat mating behaviors in check so all can live in harmony.
TNR in conjunction with community cat care best practices is the recipe for happier communities in which cats and people peacefully co-exist. Cats Are Communi
