Meet the newest member to the S&H family... our baby Bear! He is now a year old; after our sweet Harley passed we needed some time to heal, so we apologize for the lack of posting. He will now appear alongside our namesake Samson on this page as we continue to grow our offerings to our pet owner family!

It is with the utmost heartbreak that we inform you we lost our beloved namesake Harley. It has been an incredibly hard couple weeks from us, but our sweet Samson has truly kept us afloat. We have taken 2 trips to the vet in less than a week over here! 🤪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First, for Samson & Harley's yearly exams. It was a rainy day in Austin and it was SUCH a relief to have these 2 restrained in the back and focused on my driving. Yearly exams, heartworm protection, and vaccinations are important, so don't forget to keep up with all these dates for your fur babies!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Second, Samson man has a bacterial infection in his eyes 😫 As you can see, he was very calm while attached to his seatbelt, which made my mama heart happy.

Meet Buddy, a 2 year old rescue pup! He's got a little bit of Lab, Boston Terrier, Beagle, Chihuahua, and Rottweiler...and a whole lot of sweetness! 🐶

Do your dogs sleep in bed or kennel? Personally, we have Harley in bed and Samson in the kennel! Our old lady has been there for too long, so we kennel trained the pup when we got him!

Even though we are a family of small dogs, our seat belts are adjustable from approximately 23-33 inches to accommodate larger dogs standing comfortably. Once you find the length that works for your pup the adjustable buckle will stay in place! Our other (and actually first) namesake pup is Harley, a 10lb Rat Terrier! Founder Courtney got Harley in college almost 12 years ago, which is how old Harley Jo will turn in March. Harley has always been a cuddler that just wants to be nearby and sleeps like a champ. She is FULL of sass and definitely prefers the company of people to other dogs 😉She’s a rule follower that is easily plied with food…she’s definitely our low maintenance girl! It took a while, but she’s finally warmed up to her brother Samson and now plays with him (on her terms) like a puppy!

Harley girl was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is managed by meds twice a day. We found it by chance, but symptoms to look for include excessive water and food intake, develops a pot belly, very tired and inactive, losing hair, and may start having accidents. Thankfully, we have an amazing vet and she is as good as new! Gotta make sure and take care of the health and safety of our pups, what are ways you do this? 🐾🐕

I want to introduce you to our first namesake pup! This is Samson, a 1 year old Toy Australian Shepherd we got last Christmas. Weighing in around 13 pounds, he’s got a lot of bouncy energy packed into that fluffy frame. He loves frolicking in the backyard, chasing a different toy every day, and bothering his sister Harley. Not to mention playing in the water and hanging with other dogs! 🐾🐶

Samson man is the stubborn wild child that is too smart for his own good! He constantly keeps us laughing with his side eyes, funny sleeping positions, and scaredy cat nature. We joke about his “mop butt” and how much he loves on his bed 😜
