- Winner will receive 1x free full groom, up to the value of £50 (If the dog’s groom is valued over this, the recipient will instead be charged the difference)
- Can also be redeemed on short haired breeds for a de-shed treatment
- Competition is open to both existing and new customers
- Competition is running over both Facebook and instagram, each counts as one entry per person
- Recipient must drop off/pick up dog at the salon, a collection/drop-off service is not available. Address can be found on my page
- If dog is heavily matted, a matting fee will be charged as per matting policy
- Free groom must be redeemed by 31/10/2024
- Every effort will be made to offer a convenient appointment slot, but some flexibility from the recipient may be required during busier periods

Sprocket the labradoodle has started his journey to becoming a poodle 😂

His mam has decided to give the poodle look a go, so here he is sporting a shaven face. The plan is to grow his topknot and ears out some more, to make him look even more poodle-like 🐩

I think he’s going to look so handsome once his coat grows in 🥰

🐶 Let’s talk matted coats 🐶

Just thought I’d pop a post up regarding matting, especially with the recent warmer weather 🥵

When a dog has a matted coat, it can cause great discomfort as it pulls on their skin. It can also lead to them overheating as they’re unable to regulate their temperature properly. In severe cases, skin infections can occur underneath all of the matting, and the owner may not even be aware!

If I find your dog to have a matted coat, I unfortunately will have to shave them short. This isn’t because I want to ‘punish the owner’, or am looking for the ‘easy option’, but it’s physically the only option I have. When the matting occurs so close to the skin, the only way I can remove this is to get my clippers underneath it - hence, the short shave ✂️

Matted clip offs are subject to an additional matting fee, information on this can be found in my matting policy pinned to my profile. This is due to the considerable extra time it takes to get through the matting, and the damage caused to my equipment 😖

The best way to avoid your dog from becoming matted is with regular brushing at home, and a regular grooming schedule. This can range from every 4-10 weeks depending on the breed, coat type, and the desired styling of the dog. If anyone feels they’re struggling to maintain their dog’s coat at home, I’m more than happy to chat through the best tools/method etc with you ☺️

Most importantly, remember - it’s only fur and it will grow back! 🐩
