Hello everyone - this is Krista, Cody's girlfriend. Cody has experienced some of the worst luck the last few months, and I am here to fill everyone in and try to keep you updated.

There has been a very unfortunate sequence of events for him as of late. In July he had a case of shingles on his face. It took quite some time to heal and was a pretty nasty case of shingles overall, but he was trying to work through it as best he could. Next, the business took its first ever trip down to the Daytona Reptile show. On the way down, his work truck broke down. He was forced to abandon the truck and his trailer full of his accessories and supplies as well as a significant inventory of enclosures in Georgia. The truck is still not repaired, and per the dealership it may not be ready for several more weeks to months yet even. Thankfully, his business partner was able to go retrieve the trailer over this last weekend at least, but it is still up in the air on the truck.

Warning - this part may be a bit more graphic. To top all of this off, at the end of August we rushed Cody into the emergency room after he started experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was diagnosed with Diverticulitis and sent home on antibiotics. For whatever reason, the antibiotics did not work. He developed an abscess, which then ruptured and he had bodily fluids leaking into his body cavity. They pushed for heavier antibiotics hoping that he could avoid surgery, but that was also not in the cards for him. He was rushed into surgery after it was made clear that he was becoming an increased risk of sepsis or worse. They had to remove a large section of his colon and he will need to have an ostomy for some time now, with some pretty severe weight lifting limitations. He is in recovery now, and was just allowed to go home yesterday afternoon, but this is all so new and he is trying to figure out what he can do for everyone.

This business and you all, his customers and friends, mean everything to him, and he is trying not to let anyone down here but he also needs to really take care of himself and recover right now. He will be meeting with his business partner as soon as possible to try to form a plan for the immediate future. He is hoping to see if they can figure out someone to help do the lifting in the shop in the meantime, but it is all really up in the air right now and being worked out still. We will try to keep everyone updated and informed as much as possible in the meantime.

At some point over the weekend Wisconsin Custom Cages was robbed. They came onto the property, cut the lock on our trailer hitch and stole our trailer with 10s of thousands of dollars worth of product inside of it. We ask that you please keep an eye out for anyone suddenly selling our enclosures (there were around 30-40 enclosures pre assembled and flat packed) or with an abundance of reptile basics/vivarium electronic lights/heat panels/thermostats/mistking systems/etc. The trailer has a large horizontal gash on the driver's side in front of the wheel well and a dent to the wheel well frame. It's also likely that the truck used to steal it now has damage to the front passenger side and the trailer may have sustained damage there as well. We also want to apologize to our customers who currently have orders with us as many enclosures were on the trailer that were ready to be shipped out and this is going to set me far behind. I will be working as hard as I can to get caught up. There is a reward for any information that leads to the recovery of our trailer. Thank you

Realized I never shared the finished photo. The stand has the customers logo inlaid in the doors but they are blurred at the request of the customer for privacy reasons. Next we will be adding 2 levels with 6 enclosures for black breasted lead turtles

Here they are! All thats left is the stand cover/doors and eventually add a cork bark background and walls for the plants to climb. I'll post a video in the comments of the misting system going. No leaks anywhere and the turtles absolutely love them. At least 75% of the plants seem to be handling the switch to hydroponics well, hopefully see some root growth into the water before long. Can't wait to add the other 2 enclosures on top for black breasted leaf turtles.
