Plants make people happy. It's been scientifically verified that plants help to reduce stress and increase endorphins. You've probably heard that before.

For me they've played a crucial role in my mental health journey. Spending time in nature and caring for plants and animals has always been my happy place.

Today I've spent the morning putting together this terrarium, centering myself in my happy place and getting my hands dirty for more than just running a business.

It's felt pretty good. There's a reason why our sign says 'houseplants and happiness'. It's because we know that plants can make you feel better.

Plant care is self care.

2 years ago yesterday Horsham. After a huge leap of faith and a lot of sleepless nights we opened our first shop. What a journey it has been; punctuated with incredible connections to some amazing people.

We love our Horsham shop and want to thank each and every person who has walked through our flaps and made us what we are today.

We're super proud of all that we have achieved, especially with opening our 2nd store recently in Brighton.

But as with everything in life nothing is certain and since the closure of Wilko we've watched our trade in Horsham diminish. We will be there as long you want us Horsham but we know that we're really off the beaten track these days. Do come and say hi.

Delicate little leaves on a small shrub like plant that grows to about 60cm

This New Zealand native likes a bright position and to be well watered without being soggy obvs

Brighton only, they just never caught on in Horsham 🤔

The beautiful and ever popular purple velvet (gynura aurantiaca).

She always looks like she's under a neon light. Irresistible.

Work well in a bright or shady spot. Hates being over watered so let her dry a bit before you dip her feet.

We made a terrari-room in our Brighton store using the Freya greenhouse from

The terrariroom is a space divider for the shop which separates our workshop space from the shop floor.

It's still a work in progress and always will be. But, it has heating lighting and importantly for me a chair.

We're also trialing it as a home.for our hatchling lady green anole lizards from last summer. They seem pretty happy so far.

Let's talk about lighting for a minute. When it's as grey and miserable outside as it is today you bet your plants feel the low.

We have been using .store Pianta lights at home for over a year and look at what a difference they've made to our blue star fern.

When we opened our store in Brighton we knew we had to have them everywhere. So we do. If you wanna get your plants through winter in style or light a full corner of your home use these. We sell them in Horsham and Brighton shops. Come see.

Studies have shown spending 20 minutes with plants in the home (or in your spaceship weirdly) can help improve your mood, aid concentration and help you focus.
