For Father’s Day we’d like to highlight Dan, Max’s dad. We want to share with you our story and how we decided on our name. We hope you take the time today to really hug your dad, or father figure really tight. It truly is awful not having their physical presence here on earth but please know your loved ones are always with you. Dan is always with his family. We also hope you gather a few things from our story. 1. Making memories and being present for as many moments as possibly should be above all, life is short, life can be cruel, so while you can make the most of it. Forgive, love, & be present. 2. Family is important, prioritize time with them and 3. The impact dog’s can have in our lives is indescribable. Do not take them for granted and understand how powerful their presence, unconditional love, & devotion can be.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS POST.

Grateful Heart Animal Sanctuary is looking for some hard working, dependable, animal loving volunteers that aren't afraid to get dirty.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years or older. Volunteers between the ages of 8 and 18 are welcome to volunteer with their parent(s) or legal guardians.

Volunteer duties consist of feeding, cleaning and filling water troughs and mucking stalls and animal day enclosures. There are also opportunities to help with special projects around the sanctuary if interested.

We have morning shifts and afternoon shifts available and hours are somewhat flexible.

Morning shift begins anytime between 7:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m. The shift is approximately 2 hours long.

Afternoon shift currently begins anytime between 3:30 p.m and 5:00 p.m. and is approximately 2 hours long. The afternoon shift start time changes with the time change as the daylight gets less.

We ask for a minimum commitment of six months with one shift per week. While training the shift may be a little longer than 2 hours.

If you are interested in volunteering please text or call Julie at 909-979-9333. From there we will set up a time for you to come meet all of our animal rescues and chat about volunteering.

We strive to provide a fun positive volunteer experience. Our animals provide unlimited love, humor and entertainment! 🤣

Come be a part of our Grateful Heart Volunteer Team!

Pictured below is Millie one of our extremely valued volunteers. She volunteers for the morning shift twice a week and is also on our Board of Directors. She is our "chicken and duck" expert. She is small but mighty! I mean this girl is STRONG! She uses her volunteer time as part of her workout time to stay fit, along with being an avid hiker. Thank you Millie for your dedication to our animals and the sanctuary.
