Have you ever seen a cuter face (and ears!)? 😍

Board-Certified Surgeon, Kurt Michelotti and Veterinary Technician, Lori recently visited Shiloh Veterinary Hospital. This sweet 7-month-old French Bulldog, who is currently at the foster for SNORT - Short Noses Only Rescue Team, suffered a tibial crest avulsion.

Dr. Michelotti had a short consult with him, resulting in a happy ending. His injury happened about a month ago and he’s no longer limping and has started to heal. 🥰🐕

We are grateful for the wonderful team at Shiloh Veterinary for allowing us to collaborate in his care! 🎉

🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Michelotti and Lori were invited into Valley Road Animal Hospital for the first time recently and the team was so friendly and welcoming!

Dr. Michelotti performed a mass removal on Maverick, a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever. With his mass now removed, Maverick will be much more comfortable during his daily activities. Thank you for giving MOVES the opportunity to participate in the care of your patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future!

Dr. Michelotti, a Board-Certified Surgeon, and Lori Pearce, a Veterinary Technician, had their second visit at their new partner clinic, East York Veterinary Center. They saw Sam, a 10-year-old Terrier mix, who needed a TPLO procedure to help stabilize his knee joint.

🏥 VetMed Fact: Very similar to humans, dogs commonly suffer from injuries to the ligaments (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) and the cartilage (Meniscus) within the knee. Once these tissues are damaged, the knee becomes unstable and this leads to the development of swelling (effusion) within the joint. Overtime, arthritis will form, so not only will mobility be affected but the condition is painful.

Dr. Michelotti completed this successful procedure, and we are grateful for having the opportunity to participate in Sam’s care. We are wishing him a speedy recovery! 🐾❤️🎉

Cali has had quite the adventure recently, and Team Harrisburg was very grateful to be able partner with Shiloh Veterinary Hospital to assist in her recovery.

Cali went missing over two weeks ago 😧, but thankfully found her way back home🎉! When she returned, however, she had a significant limp affecting her left hind leg. X-rays revealed Cali has suffered some unknown trauma, resulting in a Coxofemoral Luxation (otherwise known as a luxated hip).

Dr. Michelotti performed an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy), which will ensure she is pain free going forward. If you are interested in reviewing the before and after x-rays, please check them out in the comments!

As always, thank you to the phenomenal team at Shiloh Veterinary Hospital for allowing us to participate in the care of your patients. We appreciate you!

Team Harrisburg visited Shiloh Veterinary Hospital to perform an MPL surgery on Tink, this adorable 1-year-old Cavapoo.

This surgery stabilizes the kneecap when patients like Tink suffer from a patellar luxation; a condition where the kneecap moves out of its natural position. If left untreated, the movement from the kneecap could predispose to the development of arthritis and can lead to mobility issues.

This sweet girl will feel so much better now, and we are wishing her a speedy recovery! Hopefully she'll be back to running and playing in no time! We appreciate having the opportunity to participate in her care!

Dr. Michelotti and Lori met Maxwell, a 10-month old French Bulldog, at Centre Animal Hospital to correct his Brachycephalic Airway Obstructive Syndrome (BAOS).

Commonly encountered in brachycephalic dogs, stenotic nares (narrowed nostrils) and an elongated soft palate are widened and trimmed, respectively. This ensures Maxwell can breathe easier and will reduce his risk for overheating and developing other complications in the future!
