👉 ATTENTION, all involved in rehoming the Envigo beagles: Beagle Freedom Project can help find homes for these dogs. Contact us at 818.382.6500 or [email protected] (or to remain confidential: [email protected]).
BFP wants our supporters to know we are working around the clock to ensure the Envigo beagles go to the best homes possible. Because we have over a decade of expertise in rehabilitating & rehoming animals used in research labs, we are distributing educational materials to shelters that have received beagles from Envigo on what to expect when caring for a special-needs animal as well as guidance for fosters & adopters on navigating the behavioral challenges common among testing survivors to help prevent these dogs from being surrendered back to a shelter.
(BFP has been providing this type of guidance for many years as part of our Shelter Safeguard program, in which shelters & rescues that notice a lab tattoo or ear tag on an animal are encouraged to contact us for assistance.)
We will keep you all updated as we have more information!
