Meet Bennett.
He is named after my grandpa who used to train squirrels. 🥰🐿🥰🐿🥰🐿

Grandpa Bennett also had a pet Crow that he trained........ 🤔🤔🤔

Yesterday my boys built a gate for one of our grazing pens. This was all them. Their design and their work. Mom didn't help this time 😁

We fenced in the playset so the bunnies can mow it instead of us 😉

There is plenty of shade and we dug and covered a cool down hole for them under the trees.

Rabbits do not sweat and can die of heat stroke easily if not properly cared for. Imagine wearing a heavy fur coat outside during this recent heat wave!! 😲😲😲 No thanks!

Total cost = ~$1 (just screws)

Free lumber from pallets
Free gate from a neighbor who was throwing it away
Free nails used as swing joints. Came from a tree the neighbor cut down. These were stuck in it when we picked it up for firewood.

Momma chicken has so many eggs she can't sit on them all.
Gotta love a broody hen!! I can't wait till she has babies following her around :)
Now to steal some of her eggs do she can manage them a bit better. Last time she pecked me pretty good and made my finger bleed... 🤷‍♀️
Can't blame her really she's just protecting her eggs. Problem is the other hens climb in the box with her and lay more eggs then push them under the broody hen. 😲

Silly turkeys make a lot of noise until I pick them up. Who knew turkeys could imprint on someone like these guys have!!
