Meet our newest little angel baby, Zion Taj! This sweetest love was purring at just a couple days old! He loves to be touched, and seeks me out when mama isn’t around. He’s big, healthy, and even has tail chubbs! He’s an only child now, so this kid is going to get ALL the cuddles! So adorable!

A surprise pregnancy means that kittens are on the way!

We are devastated beyond belief to share that last weekend we lost our sweetest most loving Taj Amaru. It was unexpected and his loss has left us (especially me) reeling. Taj was always so mellow and calm, he loved to find cozy quiet places to nap… I had no idea there was anything wrong until it was too late. The day before Thanksgiving, I noticed he went to the litter box with no results. I thought he was constipated, so I treated him for that through the next day with no results. Then I noticed he wasn’t peeing that day either. So the next day after I took him to the emergency vet. They drained his bladder and cleared the blockage. We went home… That night he seemed to be ok, other than recovering from the anesthesia. He would perk up when the others would eat or drink. He even took some laps of water himself. I let myself start to doze off around 3:30am, but was next to him checking on him every half hour or so… Then I woke up to Taj struggling to breathe. I held him, and he passed in my arms at 6:55am. I am inconsolable. I blame myself. I should’ve noticed he hadn’t been singing… I should’ve realized he was drinking more water than normal… I should’ve been more concerned when he gave a little hiss that day I picked him up off the stairs…
Taj Amaru was my Golden Boy, the Apple of my Eye, the Jewel of my Crown, the King of my Heart… He was, is, and will always be my son.. the one I would hold like a baby.. the one who would sing me beautiful songs…
If any of you are lucky enough to have one of his babies, you are truely blessed. Taj lives on through his children. Affectionate, intelligent, unconditional love are his legacy. We will miss you always, baby Taj.
