It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared on our page. We’ve had a few things keeping us busy and have taken this time to focus on our family.

We welcomed a baby girl back in July and have been adjusting to life with another little human. Guinevere never skips a beat when we add to our family. She’s always so patient with each stage they grow into. Whether our eldest is giving her extra belly scratches or the baby is snuggling her soft ears, she always enjoys the attention.

Guinevere will be retiring from our breeding program and living the rest of her days in front of the wood stove or fetching a ball for anyone who will throw it.

But don’t worry! Guinevere’s Family Goldens will be adding a new breeder to our program once she has passed her health certifications. Introductory post coming soon.

I’m welcoming this season of waiting for our upcoming breeder to focus on preparing our family and home to raise beautiful pups to join your family.

Thank you for patiently waiting with us. We are looking forward to sharing more updates this year.

Guinevere had an ultrasound appointment this morning to confirm what I have been suspicious of for about a week now.

Guinevere is NOT pregnant.

The vet is unsure as to what happened. There are so many variables, but we don’t know for sure what happened and probably never will.

I was concerned something went wrong or if we could have prevented it, but I’m reassured these things happen and has even happened a few times to a fellow breeder I respect very much.

We are thankful nothing is wrong with our sweet Guinevere and she’s in good health. We are very disappointment because we love providing our families with the sweetest and most loving puppies which we cherish to much. Also, no puppy snuggles… 😭

With that said, we do look forward to planning the next litter expected at the end of this year, if all goes well. Hopefully in time for Christmas! 🤞🏻

As of right now, Guinevere is living her best life with the warmer weather and has already been bathing in the creek out back. Such fun times we have planned for summer!

We are over the moon for our little addition and he’s the main reason we have been absent from our page for awhile.

As the puppies start heading off to their new families, I can’t help but feel a tinge of sadness deep inside. I’ve spent so much time pouring energy and love into this beauties that they have become apart of our home. Two out of the 8 have already left the nest and yes, I cried. I cried because of an emotion I had never felt. I can’t even specifically describe it. I felt sadness, but I didn’t loose anything. I felt joy, because I gained friends who will allow me to still somewhat be apart of their new pup’s life. Every picture and video of their puppy discovering their new life makes me so very happy. I know these babies are going to be loved and cared for just as much as I love them. And, I know for a fact, these pups will love their new families more than they could have imagined. They are simply the best. Now to prepare myself for the next one to leave tomorrow... I’m gonna go cry now.

Growing fast and playing hard these days. Already starting the potty training process. Yes! They can start this young! It looks differently for this age than when you will get your puppy, but it starts them in the right direction, and hopefully makes your job much easier and have faster results. We want to give the best jump start we can for our puppies and their families. 💕
