Another beautiful post-adoption update!!! Lovely June was adopted by Lisa a year ago & it was love at first sight 💘😻 Lisa had always loved torties & always felt drawn to them. Luckily, we had 3 torties in the Hundred Acre Wood Litter (rescued from a Bayonne shipping dock in July 2023). This litter was very ill, very malnourished, underweight & in need of socializing. After an intense 6 months of fostering & a lot of nursing them back to health, amazing foster parents Chrissi & Dave got this litter ready for adoption & Lisa met June!! Days are spent at Lisa's feet or snoozing on her cat bed: June keeps a close eye on her mom, Lisa! This gorgeous tortie girl has brought so much joy to Lisa's life & we couldn't be happier at this purrrfect match ❤️😻🥰

Kitten Pio is up for adoption!! 5 months old, UTD on shots, dewormed, neutered & SNAP test negative. Pio was abandoned in late September on someone's porch: he was malnourished, severely underweight, unresponsive, cold & had fleas. Bernie's Buddies nursed him back to health, got him great vet care (many thanks Coates of Many Colours/Dr. Deb!!) & he's been in a foster home with various cats & kittens who have taken him under their wing. Pio is playful & also very observant: he first watches what the other cats are doing. Pio LOVES to be warm & cuddled on the sofa in a blanket with other kitties!! Pio loves other cats & kittens, he must have a kitty friend - he would not do well as a single cat in the home. There are several kittens that Pio can be adopted together with. Someone ordered SOME BAGELS!!! 🥯🥯 We are so happy to share that Poppy (tabby male) and his littermate Sesame (black & white female) have been adopted!!! Joe & Linda were looking to adopt cats now that Joe is semi-retired & they'd have a lot of time to devote to the kitties they'd always wanted. Poppy & Sesame's sweet faces caught Joe's eye on Petfinder. Once they met, it was a match 😻🤗💖 Poppy & Sesame are playing in their forever home & getting lots of love from Joe & Linda❤️❤️ Huge thanks to their foster mom Patty who raised them & fostered them for 6 months 💘💕😸😻 The Bagel Litter are amazing because of Patty's hard work, dedication & tons of love!! Sweetest bonded cats!! Penelope (first pic) & Priscilla (2nd pic) have bonded in their foster home & must be adopted together 😻💖 These 2 affectionate & playful tabbies were dumped in a backyard 12 hours apart. We rescued them Oct 2023: they've been waiting so long for their forever home! Penelope & Priscilla are about 18 months old, they've been raised & fostered with other cats of various ages & they're great with them!! These 2 girls are cuddly, affectionate & love sleeping next to foster mom every night. Penelope has an adorable squeaky meow to let you know it's meal time 😂 Both girls LOVE Churrus & sleeping on the cat tree in the sun 🌞😸 Apply to adopt today!!

Sweet post-adoption post!!! This gorgeous girl, Olive, just celebrated her 2 year Gotcha Day on January 14!!! Olive was adopted by Jessica, who had been researching & looking for a single, adult cat. We rescued Olive in Somerville, on a very cold day, when a previous adopter of ours found Olive abandoned in the stairwell of her apartment building. Once we had Olive examined by our vet, gotten her shots, spayed & SNAP tested, she was put up for adoption. Jessica found Olive on Petfinder & met her & a purrrfect match was made!! Jessica & Olive have stayed in regular contact with us & have supported us with our fundraisers & sent food donations to the rescue ❤️❤️ Jessica says Olive is the best addition to her life & loves her so much! Olive not only cuddles up with Jessica, but talks to her & keeps her company as she goes about her day! In short, sweet Olive has changed Jessica's life for the better 💖😻 THIS is why we rescue/vet/foster/fundraise/adopt!!! Thank you, Jessica, for loving Olive & giving her the best forever home 💕🥰😻💘

The Cheese Litter needs their forever homes!! Mozzarella, Purrata, Cheddar & Brie are 9 months old, playful, affectionate, curious & very smart😸😻 We see that Mozzarella & Purrata (the black kittens) love being together, these boys need to be adopted together 💖 Cheddar (tabby boy) & Brie (tabby girl) can be adopted as a single cat in the home, or if you've already got a friendly resident cat, that would be great for them! Wishing everyone a warm & cozy night from all the foster cats & kittens in Bernie's Buddies Cat Rescue!! Wanted to share some sweet pics of some sleeping fosters: Juliana & Alex are happily sleeping entwined. Little Patty sleeping next to them on the heated blanket. Everyone is content, cozy, warm & sleeping with full bellies after dinner 😻 Our 4 foster homes work so hard every day caring for these precious cats & kittens, on top of their full time jobs & personal obligations. We are in URGENT need of FOSTER HOMES!!! Kitty friends, if you know of any cat lovers who are looking to volunteer & foster some kitties, pls tell them to DM us!! We need foster homes in the next several months, to take some of our fosters as I'll be moving & downsizing. I hate asking for help, but can't do it all on my own & I'm still unemployed after 10 months of looking for a new full time job. Please HELP!! Please share & spread the word about our urgent need for more foster homes!! We provide kitty beds, litter boxes & some cat food. If you have a spare room in your house, or you've got a friendly cat or two, that's great!
