In the cold winters of northern Europe, houses were difficult to heat, then some forgotten craftsman gave him a bed to build, almost like a closet, where to hide from the cold of the night, when the last chills of the family fire went out, real woodworking were these beds of one or two compartments, which from 16 for centuries protected non-claustrophobic Europeans from night ice.
The box bed, which originated in the late medieval period, appeared in different forms throughout Europe: there are examples from Britain, Scotland, Austria, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. In some places they were used until the 20th century, which makes sense when you consider the cold European winters and houses where the warmth came only from a wood fire. And even before electricity, people simply didn't heat their homes that much, so being cold outside also meant being cold inside.

If you want a cat you HAVE TO ACCEPT they come with claws and will scratch. They do this when they play or play fight with you and to defend themselves if they are outside cats. They also use them to help grip when they climb and even house cats need to climb and also when they use a litter tray if you declaw it can hurt so badly to use and scare them for life against using a litter try because they remember the pain and who could blame them?!?! Leave them alone! they have their claws for a reason. If your are scratched suck it up buttercup because cats do that and not always because you pi**ed them off. It could be a complete accident and they caught you climbing in fear of falling etc. love your cat as god made them and don’t mutilate them.

One happy pup here. I finally put up her advent. She be sooooo happy now and there was treats spare she has had some extra for being so good waiting….it’s irrelevant she didn’t even know about it. 🤣🤣🤣
