SALES POLICY:
Our rabbits were originally purchased to make our family more self sufficient and create a healthy, humanely raised food source. While we have evolved since then to breed rabbits that are for show and pets, please be aware that some posts on this page are about raising meat rabbits and not pets. All of our rabbits whether show, pet, or meat are played with and raised by our hardworking teens. By getting one you help them continue to show their rabbits, sharpen their husbandry skills, and build character through responsibility.
Location/transport: We are located in Beaumont, Texas and will only meet elsewhere when it is convenient. (Unless it's for a show we typically only visit New Iberia or Abbeville, LA; Conroe, Houston, or Galveston, Texas, arrangements can be made to meet in these areas.) It is assumed at time of deposit that you will pick up in Beaumont unless otherwise agreed upon prior to deposit. I will not transport to or from an rhdv2 infected area at this time, in an effort to help prevent the spread; I am open to other transports but that will need to be arranged by the buyer. Once a rabbit is turned over to a 3rd party transporter the responsibility, disease, death, care, health, and other conditions are out of our hands.
Health: The rabbits are healthy to the best of our knowledge when they leave here. We recommend supplementing prebiotics the 1st week or 2, to defend against stomach issues caused by stress. You will be given a ziplock of feed and it is recommended to slowly introduce new food. Treats should be given sparingly and introduced slowly after the animal has adjusted to new enviroment/feed. That said we will not be held responsible if the rabbit becomes sick or dies once it leaves our care. There are many factors that can cause a rabbit to become ill, therefore we cannot guarantee the health of the animal once it leaves our care. Please research how to care for the animal before purchasing. Like most rabbitries, there will be No REFUNDS or replacements and we are not responsible at any time for ANY vet or medical bills for your rabbit.
S*x: Determining s*x of a young rabbit is difficult. We do our best to check the s*x, but please make sure you check the rabbit at time of pick up for yourself, mistakes happen. Even the most experienced breeder has made mistakes. Proven breeders and older rabbits will be more obvious, this is mainly for the young rabbits.
Deposit/Canceled sale: We do not typically take deposits as rabbits tend to go on sale when weaned, on occasion non-refundable deposits of 50% may be required to hold an animal. We reserve the right to refuse any sale if we feel it necessary. A full refund will be given if we decide upon this. However, if you choose to cancel or do not pick up the animal at the agreed upon time/place then no refund will be given. This includes any sale that can not be picked up in Beaumont unless prior to deposit an agreement was made to meet elsewhere. No sales will be made to a minor.
Pet/Show/Breeder Quality: We are very new to showing and make no claims at knowing which animals will be good show quality. If we have shown an animal we can give the feedback given by the judge at show. If an animal is known to only be pet quality and dq in show for whatever reason you will be notified, however we cannot guarantee that others will be show quality. For proven breeders we cannot predict the outcome of future litters. We can only give the results of previous litters. ( # of kits, temperament, maternal skills, among other things cannot be guaranteed)
Pedigrees: Currently pedigrees are only available for Rex and our future English Angoras. We are working on building pedigrees for our mini rex but many only go back 1 generation.
Animal Surrender: We do not buy back rabbits but if you can no longer keep your rabbit we will do our best to take it back. Please contact us for more information.
Thank you for helping support our 6 kids and their hobbies!
