Weimaraners were originally bred in Germany as hunting/retrieving dogs. They are still used for these purposes today. Our female, Isa, comes from a line of champion hunting dogs. She has not been trained to hunt but shows instinctual behaviour (flushing, pointing, tracking, etc.)

Weimaraners are loyal, friendly, and full of energy. They are wonderful family dogs, and would like nothing more than to be a part of the family 24/7. Because they are such athletic dogs, they need to have owners who can match this energy. They either need lots of space to run around or an owner who is very athletic and will take them on long and frequent walks/runs.

Please do your research before bringing one of these amazing dogs into your life. As described above, they are wonderful dogs, but need lots of attention.
