At All About the Raw, we’re dedicated to supporting all dogs, including those whose families are experiencing homelessness. This week, we’re joining the effort to raise awareness and support for pets of the homeless during National Give a Dog a Bone Week.

🦴 What is Give a Dog a Bone Week? 🦴

Give a Dog a Bone Week was created by Feeding Pets of the Homeless, an organization founded in 2008 by Genevieve Frederick. Inspired by the bond between a homeless man and his dog, Genevieve, launched this initiative to help provide food, emergency veterinary care, and other necessary items for pets of homeless individuals.

🌟 How You Can Help:

1. Donate to Organizations: Consider donating to Feeding Pets of the Homeless or similar organizations. Your donations can provide essential items like food, blankets, crates, and toys to pets in need.

2. Volunteer Your Time: Volunteer with Feeding Pets of the Homeless or your local shelter. You can help recruit businesses to become donation sites, assist at wellness clinics, or support food banks that distribute pet food.

Gizmo will be one of the first to greet you when you park your vehicle. Be sure to roll up your windows and not leave your doors open too long or he will help himself in to explore all the new scents and smells you brought with you!!!

Funny story, when we had the carpets shampooed a few years ago the driver had to bring Gizmo back when he realized he was asleep in the passenger seat once he got down the road.

When he is not hitching car rides and greeting the visitors, he is happy mousing around the property and going on hikes with the dogs.

Everyone say "hi" to Gizmo :)
