Have you ever thought to get your furbaby a sibling or a friend to play with. Yes, I am talking about another dog. THINK TWICE BEFORE DOING SO. Littermate syndrome is a real problem that can affect people that bring dogs that are littermates into their homes. It can also be a problem for dogs that ARE NOT littermates but are close in age and brought into the home in the same short period of time. Littermate syndrome at it's best is a co-dependance for the dogs with each other that can lead to severe anxiety in the dogs. Littermate syndrome at its worst, can lead to severe aggression in the dogs towards each other. These problems usually come out at 18-30 months of age.
