Briannah has always been a loyal supporter of our rescue. She adopted Porter when he was just a baby kitten. His best friend and big brother are not doing well, and will need assistance to fight his battle. After losing my personal Kitty to cancer, I know what a heartbreaking situation this is and encourage compassion and generosity during this difficult time.

SOMEONE CARED ENOUGH…

That’s what the corner of that cat’s ear being tipped means. Someone cared enough. Enough to take time out of their day for that cat. To load up trapping supplies, go to the trapping location, set traps, monitor traps, and wait hours in most cases to fill traps. Then to bring them home in the traps and get them set up somewhere overnight and care for them.

To drive them to the vet the next day, wait in line, and check them in for surgery. To pay for them to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. They pay extra for flea meds and dewormer, knowing it will only last a month, but knowing that might be the only month of reprieve they have in their whole life from being ate alive.

They care enough to house them for a day or two for recovery. In that time they care for them and make sure they are healing from surgery well.

Then they drive them back to the trapping location and release them back to their outdoor home.

From there, back home to clean and wash the traps and supplies to be ready for next time.
This takes HOURS.

Hours for a community cat that so many people hate.

So that community cat you see out there with an ear tip, someone cared enough to take the time to give them a better life. To stop the cycle. To try to tackle the overpopulation and suffering. To help curb the testosterone driven territorial fights and spraying. To help that female not get pyometria from having litter after litter until she dies. To try to keep the numbers down so less people threaten their lives.

That indoor cat with the ear tip; someone cared a little extra. They saw that cat had potential to thrive in a life off the streets and they gave them that chance. They worked with them to overcome their fears so they wouldn’t live that harsh street life with a much shorter life expectancy than indoor cats.

That ear tip is how trappers identify a cat that has already been spayed/neutered. It is a quick way to look at a community cat and know if they have been fixed or not. This helps us not trap the same cats and send them through the stress of transport to the vet repeatedly, because we can see they have already been fixed. If a cat with an ear tip ends up in the trap, we can just release them immediately and keep trying until we get a cat that is not ear tipped.

Some people don’t like how the ear tip looks, or how painful it might be (it’s done under anesthesia during their spay/neuter surgery).

But that ear tip is a badge of honor.

🤎 TOBIAS
Good Meowning, Friends! Happy Meownday to you!
We haven’t posted in a long time - days are quite hectic and lots of different things going on.
One update is that Tobias is being fostered by Aunt Sarah! She reached out recently and shared that her kitty, Jack has been lonesome ever since Roji was adopted and asked if she could foster so Jack could have a friend to play with. Aunt Brandi thought about who’d do well in Aunt Sarah’s environment and chose Tobias.
Jack and Tobias quickly became buddies and as expected, Tobias is doing wonderfully.
Tobias is a handsome, friendly boy. He is a super snuggly, affectionate and playful. Aunt Sarah says “he is a perfect cat” and we believe it.
Tobias will soon make his PetFinder debut, and we are hopeful that his purrfect family will find him.

AD♥️PTION ANN🔥UNCEMENT
Our little fireman found his forever home today! Probie was adopted by Gumdrop’s family and will also have two poopie dawg sisters.
Probie quickly won over his new family with his confidence and charm. He will have lots of snuggles in his future.
Raised as a bottle baby from just days old - and with me for quite some time - this adoption was especially emotional for me, but I am very proud of Probie and am so happy for him and grateful to his family for giving him a loving home.

ADOPT 🤍 JAGGER
Jagger is a purry, happy boy who loves playtime and snuggles. He is gentle, friendly and wants to be wherever his people are - and will follow from room to room.
Jagger likes other kitties just fine - but would also be okay as an only pet so long as he has plenty of companionship. We don’t think he’d enjoy being home alone for several hours every day.
Approximately one year old, Jagger is a big, muscular boy and a very handsome kitty.

Purrific News! Lululemon found her family today! What a fancatstic family she chose, too!
They shared with me that when they conducted their search on - they purposely sorted the results by who’d been searching for a family the longest at the top of the list. That’s how they discovered Lulu. That’s pretty darn special and I instantly loved them for it!
Lulu will have a big sister kitty, her new gal pal big sister, and Meowmy and Daddy. They’re in love with her already!
Lulu did so well on her meet and greet and I’m so very proud of her! I’m so grateful for her family for giving our sweet girl such a loving home where she will be protected and adored.
You did it, sweet girl! You’re home!

Handsome Jagger is searching for his family. Could that be you?
Jagger is an affectionate boy. Wherever I am, Jagger is never far away. He sits nearby while I’m working, makes sure I never have to be alone in the bathroom, and knows that couch time means cuddles.
Jagger is a talkative boy with a big, rumbling purr. He enjoys playing with toys and loves stuffed mousies and kickers that he can chase and pounce upon.
Jagger is confident at home, and is friendly with everyone who visits. Outside his own environment, he has been a bit insecure. Therefore, he may need some time to feel comfortable in his new home, so his family will need to be patient and allow Jagger to adjust at his own pace.
Jagger appreciates the company of other kitties, but he’s a big, strong boy and sometimes plays a little rougher than his fellow felines enjoy. He is always gentle with humans.

Woo Hoo! Reese is ready to find his family!
Reese is spunky and happy, sweet and affectionate. He likes playing with other kitties, and enjoys wrestling with and pouncing upon stuffed mousey toys.
Reese enjoys being held and snuggled, and is friendly and curious. He’s not at all skeerdy of the vacuum cleaner, and has so far given warm welcomes and friendly greetings to every purrson and kitty he’s met.
We would love for Reese to find his family, and if you’re interested in adopting a pair - Reese was rescued by himself, but has made several kitty friends at kittENchanted - so he definitely has buddies he can be paired up with, if desired.

ADOPT 🖤 DAHLIA
Adult cats are a little less in demand when it comes to adoptions. Same can be said for black cats. But that certainly doesn’t mean that adult kitties, black kitties, or adult black kitties - like Dahlia - are any less deserving of a loving family to call their own.
Dahlia loves other kitties, and she would do best in a home that either has a kitty or two already - or into a family that would like to adopt a pair. In Dahlia’s case, she’d like most any kittENchanted kitty as an adoption buddy - but she’d be mostest happiest being adopted with her BFF, Clawdia.
Dahlia is quiet, and calm - and would appreciate a home with the same qualities. She does have a playful side, and wands with a feather on the end are her most favorite.
Snuggly bed? Like those. Don’t have a snuggly bed? Your pillow will do just fine.
Lots of windows to watch the birdies and squirrels would be MEOWvelous… but Dahlia can make due with even a single, small window. She just likes to be able to see what’s going on in the world from the safety and security inside.
She can be a little shy with new people at the very beginning - but quickly warms up. She loves attention and affection, kisses and hugs - but isn’t a big fan of being picked up. Dahlia prefers to be near you, and will want to snuggle up beside you. She’s not one to climb up onto your lap or belly, though.

Affectionate and quiet, gentle and sweet… Lululemon is ready to find her family. Could that be you?
Lululemon enjoys the company of other kitties, but isn’t dependent upon it. She likes sitting up high, and loves being petted. She’s tidy and polite, and is always in the mood to give and receive affection.
Lulu would do best in a quiet home, and has not been enthusiastic about playing with toys. Someone who is home most of the time and wants a kitty who will curl up and let you pet them and pet them (and pet them some more!) would be ideal for Lululemon.
If you like pina coladas…. Oops, I mean if you like pets and cuddles - please consider Lululemon. She’s beautiful. She’s waiting.
