I've been fostering for almost a year, and it truly is so rewarding. Rescue centres are all over-run at the moment with the cost of living crisis etc causing abandonment rates to increase. And with kitten season around the corner they really need all the help they can get.

If anybody knows anybody who could be able to foster, it truly is really needed. You can have your own pets as long as you have a separate area for the foster, it can just be a spare room. And the RSPCA cover the cost of litter, food, toys, vet bills etc.

Who in rescue can relate? 😂 Kitten season is coming... 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀

But seriously, we need your help! Please, please, please would you consider fostering for us?

Do you have a spare room? Could you squeeze in a cat, maybe two cats or maybe a selection of tiny kittens into it?

We will provide and pay for everything you need to get started, we just really don't want to say no to any more cats that are desperately needing to come into rescue right now. This is why we need to fundraise for a bigger centre 😔

If you're looking into your summer holidays, it can be a good idea to arrange pet sitting sooner rather than later, so that your mind is at ease that your pets will be well looked after.

I offer home visits where I can come to your home multiple times a day and feed, clean out, and spend time with your pets.

I offer a meet and greet before hand free of charge, so I can meet your animals, and you can meet me and ask me any questions, as well as go over details of the care you require.

I will always ensure I keep records of your pets health and behaviour whilst you're away, such as how much they're eating and if they're showing any signs of stress.

I will update you with photos, and will only post these photos publicly with your consent and once your home.

I am qualified with a Level 2 certificate in Pet Sitting, a level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management (D*D*D*) and am currently studying a degree in Veterinary Nursing. I also have public liability insurance.

When looking for a Pet sitter, it's important to choose somebody reliable, who prioritises your animals care above all else, and is qualified to recognise signs of stress and illness.

Having achieved triple Distinction* in my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, as well as completing a Level 2 certificate in Pet Sitting and currently studying a degree in Veterinary Nursing, I have a strong understanding of the needs of a variety of animals, as well as signs that they're not feeling their best.

For the home visits I provide, I will:
□ Feed
□ Provide fresh water
□ Clean out enclosures and litter trays
□ Maintain cleanliness in your home (such as sweeping up any litter that has been kicked out from litter trays)
□ Monitor your pets health and behaviour
□ Interact and play with the pet where appropriate
□ Open blinds and water plants if desired
□ Let animals out of their enclosures/into runs if desired
□ And if you have any other tasks you'd like to be completed for your pet, just let me know!

Home visits have many benefits, such as
♡ No stressful transportation for your pet
♡ You don't have to worry about picking up and dropping off your pet at a second location
♡ Your pet can stay in the environment they're used to with the same amount of space and freedom
♡ Having somebody enter your home whilst you're away can help prevent thieves

As well as my qualifications in pet sitting and Animal Management, I have a vast range of experience with different animals from work experience involving birds such as chickens, small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs, and cats. I also have grown up around animals, and currently have two kittens, a hamster, a cockatiel, and two bunnies.
You can enjoy your time away knowing that your animals are being well looked after, and that I have public liability insurance which also covers an assistant who will care for your pet if I'm unable to, ensuring that there will always be somebody available to take care of your pet.

These home visits involve the following:
♡ Coming into your home once or twice a day to check on your pet
♡ Giving your pet fresh food and water
♡ Cleaning out enclosures and litter trays

♡ Let them outside or into runs
♡ Complete behaviour and health checks to make sure they're happy and healthy while you're away

Finding pet sitting for more exotic animals such as reptiles and birds can seem difficult, but from my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, I understand the needs of a variety of exotic animals. Home visits mean that they can stay in their own home so you don't have to worry about their set up (such as temperature and lighting for reptiles) being different.

The sunshine we are getting this week can be lovely for us, but can be difficult for animals! With weather like this I try to take extra care to make sure the animals I'm caring for are staying cool. I will bring them frozen toys to play with and monitor then extra closely, so you don't have to worry about them whilst you're away ☀️☀️

Some animals can be so much more relaxed in their own home, which is why home visits can be an excellent form of pet sitting for cats and small animals.

During pet sitting I will enter your home a couple of times a day to:

♡ Feed
♡ Change waters
♡ Clean out litter trays and enclosures
♡ Let cats out (unless you want to keep them in)
♡ Play and spend time with them
♡ Water plants and open blinds

Last week I officially recieved my results from my level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. I achieved three Distinction* (equivalent to A*A*A* at A levels).
This is very exciting as it has confirmed me being able to start my degree in Veterinary Nursing from September. Don't worry though, I'll still be continuing pet sitting whilst studying 🥰
