Imagine being throw away, pregnant, giving birth two days later in a loud noisy shelter !? Well that’s what this girl Mix Mix went through. Anddd all her pups were adopted and no one ever came for her 😞. It’s been said that she’s a bit stand offish but as you can tell, in the right hands she blossoms like a flower ! She’s leaning to walk better on leash but seems to know some basic commands. We are working on her socialization skills with people as she can be shy. She did great with the small dogs but a meet would be required. She currently is at the @bergencountyanimalshelter where she’s been since February. I’m really proud of this girl. Rosie has come such a long way. When she first came here she had ZERO impulse control. The second the food would come out she would dart and be focused on the food and even growl at times. Now she controls herself and looks to me for direction. Great job Rosie girl !! ‼️‼️DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME ‼️‼️ As stated in other posts, Rosie impulse control hasn’t been that great. Also, she thought every time someone went near her while she was eating they were going to take her food. Her instinct from being a stray was to protect. As you can see, I’m making HUGE progress with her trusting me that I’m not taking it, I’m simply just in the room with her showing her positivity when I do come near her. Again, I do not ever recommend anybody going near a dog while they’re eating whether they have issues or not. I’m just trying to make her comfortable while eating if people are in the room with her. She will be up for adoption after her 4 to 6 week board and train through @brick_city_rescue. Exactly what I want to happen. I say “enough” and that’s enough. Molly gets a bit overstimulated during play and sometimes may be to rough. She’s learning that when told to stop, she stops to bring her stimulation down and then she can start play again. Having this control can prevent an unnecessary fight. Molly is up for adoption through @heartandsoul_dog_rescue. She’s big and small dog friendly but a meet is required. She matches energy so if you have a calm dog she will be playful in a calmer manor. Or if you have a hyper dog she will match the energy but you have to make sure you can recall her so it doesn’t go south. Molly will have full training backing through the rescue when she’s adopted. Hi All !! I know I been MIA for a while but I’m back ! This is Molly, she’s up for adoption through @heartandsoul_dog_rescue. She’s currently in foster but now with me for some training. She tends to get overstimulated pretty quickly. So, I am working on her learning to be in a calm state by teaching her place, leave it etc. I’m also teaching her while playing in a high stimulation with another dog, to stop play when she’s told so it doesn’t get out of control. She’s a very sweet dog, housebroken non-destructive and crate trained. She loves everyone she meets and would be a great addition to anyone’s family. When’s she’s adopted her training will continue with the family should they need.
