Workshop on Sensitivity Training & Dog Handling
at Tail Club, Gurugram.
Had wonderful experience teaching the handlers on how to ensure a stress free environment for all kinds boarders and visitors at the dog park.
We did alot of exercises, practicals and covered in depth; the skills & life of a dog handler, how to improve, manage dogs, read body language, and a whole lot of other skills and tools.
The handlers at tail club are really passionate guys who love about what they do. They are also quick learners who are in tune with dogs needs.
I am really glad that after so many years in this industry finally someone is taking a step to educate and empower the staff with better skills and offering them such trainings to level up. All the credit goes to Sandeep who has put so much thought and love into his place and it shows. π
Special mention for Batman & Pepper who literally posted walls to attend and demonstrate in the session.
_______
Boarders ,Dog Park Handlers , Vet & Grooming Staff everyone can benefit from my customised workshop on Handling Multiple Dogs, Kennel Management & Sensitivity training.
Check the last photo! Dogs talks, to those, who listens. π Beautiful Tiffany during her sessions.
Appreciation Post!
I recently had the privilege of training Mika, bred by , owned by .munjal.
Mika is extremely smart, loving & affectionate.
He comes from a high pedigree lineage, not just that, the amount of work and effort done by is phenomenal!
By the age of 60 days, this puppy was p*eing and pooping outside at a particular spot at a particular time. It's common in puppies to p*e wherever but NOT MIKA! He was also comfortable in his crate by that time.
The first time I met him, I was expecting to be jumped upon but this kid just came, saw me & did a bow almost like pleading me to pet him.
To my surprise this dog was capable to show the exact same behaviour outside aswell! No fear, no flinching, just a bundle of joy raised with love, affection and the right rules.
Simple things like these are a joy for a trainer. These points may get skipped by the untrained eyes but sooner or later catches up in terms of change of behaviour.
is a pioneer in India who actually understands the meaning of 'Ethical Breeding' & Mika is the perfect specimen who stands true to his breed & more. I appreciate the work you do. You're producing the most wonderful dogs I have seen.
Telington TTouch are set of movements & techniques which can positively influence your dog's behaviour, strengthen your bond & reduce their anxiety.
There are many accupressure points behind the ears & at the back of the neck, which when stimulated can make your dog feel relaxed & at ease. If they are stressed, they might 'shake it off' as soon as you're done gently massaging the points.
There are many techniques under Telington TTouch, the clouded leopard, Zig-Zag & Ear TTouch is something that I personally vouch for!
The photos show Joey, who is getting the 'clouded leopard TTouch' where my hand forms a circle and the fingers move in a clockwise movement.
Try it with your dog! It's very effective & simple.
Eventually all pet dog training boils down to 2 things! Either making a habit or breaking a habit. Regardless, for any type of learning, these 3 C's are the π
βοΈConsistency
Consistency trumps skills. You may be able to teach a behaviour in 1 hour but if you don't consistently practice. The results won't be reliable.
βοΈComposure
Dogs understand better when you're cool & calm. If you're always too excited or angry, the dog learns reactively!
βοΈConfidence
Confidence trumps 'doing by the book'. You may be doing everything right as taught but if you don't have confidence & belief in the systems and your actions. Dogs are pretty quick to call that out π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ
(Hint : Do you feel separation anxiety more than your dog?)

Yes! Dogs talk with their behaviour & body language.
If you are a pet parent and you do not know how to read your dog's body language, you're in for trouble.
Dogs body language is alot diifferent from humans!
Observe. Read. Learn. Adapt.
What success means to me is seeing a family, who is finally able to understand their dog fully.
Seeing them better their relationship with the effortless communication.
Training humans & dogs takes time and effort.
That's why I follow these basic principles to ensure that we get the results we want
1. Limited clients per month. βοΈ
2. Progress Report βοΈ
2. Dedicated 2 months of training with the owners can make all the difference (no matter βοΈ
When we set a goal with the family, I ask them to take out the time
Venting out may be a part of the process for humans to identify problem areas but don't get stuck on that step.
Step up to mitigate & manage the issues.
Dogs are the truest reflection of how our behaviour is with them. They don't shy away from showing what they have learnt, be it jumping on people or politely sitting on their bed.
At my happiest, when with a puppy β€οΈ
A dog with traumatic past is no reson for their ongoing bad behaviour!
When we adopt a rescue dog with an abusive past, the most humane thing to do is equip the dog with right tools to overcome any trauma or triggers.
However, the most common pet parenting approach is to shower the dog with too much comfort, love, unearned food, treats, adjusting your lifestyle based on dogs moods and ultimately pampering the dog to a level where they start disrespecting the resources provided to them.
Understand that behaviour is nothing but a sum of experiences. Behaviour changes if the last few experiences change. All of which can be controlled by you.
Love & Food is not a replacement to discipline.
You dog needs you to be fair, practical & be dutiful, identify the behaviours that may become potentially harmful and teach your dog actively, NOT Reactively.
Only you can help your dog to unleash their best or worst potential.

Fetch - Getting rid of that extra morning energy after Potty Walkβ¨Coco @3 Months. β’ Difficulty Level : Easy to Teach. β’ Coco went on from having Zero interest in Ball to Fetching in just 3 days. β’ Her owners were following the same methods but weren't getting the same results. Why? Because Coco is going through ππππ₯ππππ ππ€π€π¦ππ€ and if that is not relieved before playing ball, the puppy obviously would want to teeth on the ball instead of fetching it! Coco started to relate Ball as a teething toy and lost interest when she wasn't teething. She always had great drive to chase but she didn't relate Ball to something that she was supposed to chase. Small details like these can be trivial to learning & creating habits.
