Finally its Friday! 🥳🙌

Feel free to spend the weekend browsing our morphmarket store! We are updating our available snakes as regularly as possible 😀👍 we have some babies that are ready to go and have eaten enough meals. We have some cb24 juveniles left if you want a more established snake, and we even have a few adults if you're looking into breeding in the future 😁

Since we no longer have the IHS show to attend as it was cancelled, we will be doing a sales event! We can also offer delivery if its not too far, or if we can coincide the trips all together. The more that we can book in would mean the more we can reduce costs 👍

Roulette and Goose's clutch is all out and look how beautiful they are! 😍🤩🥰

We have gone for a few gambles this season and they haven't all paid off but that's ok! This pairing was Goose (conda het snow) to Roulette (pos het albino, axanthic + lavender) and it looks like only the albino has proven out this time.

But we got something very special in this clutch! 😃 our first set of TWINS!! 🥳🙌😁 5 breeding seasons in and we finally hit some, and both albino condas too! 👌🤩

We are a bit miffed on why some of these babies are quite light, including some albinos, but maybe that's just a polgenic influence going on there, who knows!

Overall we are very happy with this clutch 🙂 pics of the parents included 👍

Some sad news today 😔😢

Our toffeeconda male, who we named Mater, from our 2024 season has passed away 😭

I went to feed all the snakes as usual and came across him in his tub, thinking he's probably asleep. So I blew on him as that usually wakes them up without much shock but he didn't move. I lifted him up and he was limp so I knew then he was gone 😞

He's been absolutely great since hatching. Eating really well and doing all the things a healthy hognose does. I just cleaned them out on Wednesday and he was perfectly fine then.

I did notice that the section around his heart area looked a bit swollen and it looked dark through his belly. So its possible he had some kind of heart defect or problem which sadly cut his life short.

This is the sad side of breeding. Currently we are getting eggs hatching and beautiful new babies appearing, but its things like these that really hit hard and make you question why you do it. Youre on an emotional roller coaster and you have to carry on because you have other snakes depending on you.

We put everything into breeding, which means we feel every downside as well as up. This poor boy had only just started out in life, but we will remember him always ❤️

We have his sister Skittle with us too so he wont be forgotten.

Just when we thought we were done for the season...Norma goes and lays a great clutch for us! 😃🤩👏

We originally paired Norma to our superarctic pos het sunburst boy Rocket, but we didn't think he was getting the job done...so we started pairing her with Donny, our arctic toxic conda. He seemed to do really well but as the others were becoming gravid and laying eggs, Norma still seemed to do nothing. So we eventually stopped pairing and wrote off getting eggs from her. Roll on a few weeks and she started looking pretty chunky. Sure enough sue went into blue and shed out last Saturday. She usually lays about 5-6 days after shedding, but by Sunday she was looking slim and we were beginning to think she had tricked us!

Well she didn't and low and behold she was growing 15 eggs! They are all quite well developed so I have a feeling she was holding onto them longer for some reason. She did seem extra restless and angry this time around! Anyway she did really well and will be rewarded with a lovely mouse 🐁 for her great effort and surprising us! 😀❤️ Bella helped me tub these up and get them in the incubator today 🙂👌

Looking forward to seeing who was successful in pairing with her 😁

❓️Who's going to the IHS reptile show on 22nd June❓️ 😃🐍

We will be there with a table so please come along and see us and maybe aquire a new addition to your family! 😀

We have a speci@l 0ffer for you all too!! We are 0ffering a massive 40⁰/o 0ff all our hognoses at the show!! 😲 and that's not all. We will be holding this s@le for this weekend also, for those that maybe wont be able to make the show or if you just want to get ahead of the game and nab yours sooner!!! 😄😁👍

This includes some of our newly hatched hognoses as a few of those are already on 5 meals, so should be ready to leave at the show aswell 😃👌

🐍 GIVE A HOG A HOME! 🐍

We have 3 beautiful snakes looking for a new abode!

❤️ first is a normal cb24 male who has a very small cleft in his nose. Tiny enough to not really notice it but I wouldn't want to send him off to a breeder home because of it. He does everything as he should! Eats well and is a lovely natured boy who deserves to find a loving owner!

❤️ next is our breeder female Valerie. She's a cb21 normal het lavender and produced our first lavender visual this season. Unfortunately we feel a breeder life isn't for her. She does get a bit clogged up when laying eggs and we wouldn't want to take any further risks with her. She's very shy and loves hiding in her humid hide. Her defense mechanism of choice is the puffed out cheeks! She would make a great pet as shes pretty docile.

❤️ lastly is a cb24 sable girl who was originally a holdback as she has stunning colours! Unfortunately we have noticed she has some weakness in her ribs on her upper body and it moves in an unusual way when shes tensing or using her muscles. We believe this is a birth defect and despite this she eats really well and gets about absolutely fine! She is such a sweet girl and I would love her to go to a home that would appreciate her for all her beauty!

Roulette decided to drop a second clutch yesterday! We were sort of expecting it and were checking on her now and again and it just so happened I forgot to check her until the afternoon that day! 🤭
Well we have 6 fertile eggs, but they were a bit deflated and not too calcified but we have them in the incubator anyway so hopefully they turn out ok 🤞
Then I got to thinking that's a good bit smaller than her first clutch and felt her body and indeed she had something in her...but further up her body around her stomach area...😏😄🫠
So we believe she may have got quite hungry and decided to eat her eggs while they are there and possibly been digging around the others aswell making them a bit worse for wear!

I hope they were tasty, that's all I can say! She earned them i guess lol 😆
