Hope youre all well?

Just a quick post to say that we are reevaluating our plans here at HBHQ as circumstances are changing, so this means we need to reduce our collection somewhat. This will include some breeder ready males and females and some of which are in brumation! So please drop us a message if youre looking to add to your collection, or start breeding! We will see if we can help!

UPDATE‼️THIS BOY HAS FOUND A FOREVER HOME! THANKYOU TO ALL WHO ENQUIRED❤️

🐍 GIVE A HOG A HOME! 🐍

This boy we hatched out in 2024 and he has a very unique look to him! We decided to hang onto him as he seemed to be a bit different in other ways. Hes grown really well and eats every week so we are looking to move him on finally, but we are looking for a PET ONLY home for him.

He seems to have a little bit of a tilt to him when he moves. Nothing major, but we feel that he could be a bit neurologically challenged. He is a bit spicy, so he does love to hiss and bluff strike! Because of this he does get defensive at his food but he doesnt really drop feed as he seems to miss his food. So he requires the food to be tong fed and eventually he will take it after a few bluff strikes! Lol

We would like him to go to an experienced home, who knows the natural behaviours of a hognose and doesnt mind a bit of sass! We are not looking for a fee for him, but we will vet any future possible owner to make sure he will be in the best place 🙂

Our last 2 superarctics from this season! A lovely normal super girl who has a lovely busy stripey pattern and a conda super boy who has eaten from the start of hatching and is growing like a w**d!!!
They are both pretty docile and habe the possibility of hets including albino, axanthic and toffee. Dont sleep on these 2!! 👀😊

Today we said goodbye to Jack as he has moved on to a new home! 🙂🥲

We have been growing him up for a while and he just didnt fit into our immediate plans. As time went on we put other plans first, and as it happens a fellow breeder contacted me looking for a ready to breed Frosted male....well cue Jack!

He is a beautiful Frosted conda (Frappuccino) morph and is more than ready to be breeding, so it only seemed right that he gets to fulfil his potential!

What makes things like moving on adults easier, is that they go to breeders who we know and respect and can look forward to seeing updates, so we never really 'lose' them in a way. Its one of the perks of being friendly with other breeders and being able to help eachother reach goals, which is the cherry on the cake! We wish them all the best with Jack and look forward to seeing his offspring next season! 😍🤩

We have a few plans for these girls but might put a few on hold as the market is slow at the moment.

Some lovely arctic and arctic condas enjoying a meal and looking fresh after shedding! 😍🤩👌 these babies are doing really well now and have the possibility of carrying 4 hets aswell! They would make a great addition to a breeding collection! 🙂

A few of the adults are off heat and going into the wardrobe! 😄👌 we have them off heat for about a week and reduce the daylight so they will enter into brumation mode. Then they will be going into the wine cooler (around 10c) for 2-3 months. We will keep an eye on them every week and for air exchanges.
This is the first time we have put snakes in together as we are shorter on space so its experimental for us. The males are in same s*x and weight groups 👍 the females have their own tubs.

Hognoses would naturally brumate in the wild as the temperature drops and the daylight hours get shorter. They sleep through the winter and this gives their body the reset it needs to get ready for breeding in the spring. If you arent looking to breed your hognose then brumation isnt necessary, but if you do find your snake going off food through the winter, dont worry! Its totally normal for them and they will pick up again when ready 🙂
