I'm still really unsure about forage. It doesn't sell as much as I'd like and I'm not sure whether to get rid of it entirely.

I know people tend to buy in bulk but I was hoping the home grown, whole leaf product would do well.

Because it is home grown I can't sell 5kg dried at a time. Do I lower the price? Do I withdraw it? Any suggestions are welcome because it's a part of FN I really love and I don't want to give it up.

So, as I was saying about better late than never, these will be available on the website shortly. Made from felt and topped with a lush white furry top, they make a great place to keep your furry Christmas presents! Not for hanging in the cage (although maybe I could make some edible stockings at some point?).

These are about as long as my forearm so can fit quite a few treats and maybe...a little £1 spinner from the FurryNatural store ⛄🎁

It's been chilly at FNHQ! Not much growing at the moment but it will soon be spring and boy do I have plans to spring into action! Although a bit delayed, it is a brand new year with lots more holiday seasons....

Apologies all for the long absence. After losing my dad late last year I have been quite ill and have had quite a bit on my plate so FN has been on a bit of a back burner.

However, I am pleased to advise I'm finally getting over my health issues and am getting back into the driving seat! More on that in following posts.

This post I'd like to dedicate to Poppy, my dad's little 10yo Jack S***t I've been hosting in Derbyshire while mum sorts all the estate and house out in Essex. She goes home on Thursday and my mum is so excited to have her back, though I will miss her greatly.

So phase two is here and hammocks now have eyelets. What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking a small, medium and large at £5, £8 and £10.

Does anyone have sizes they find silly expensive or hard to find that I could add with standard sizing?

I'm going to add a custom size option but I'd rather go for standard if possible.

We didn't get a claim on these prototype hammocks so they're free to the first rescue that responds to this post. They're not the best ones, we've changed the design, but they are free so if you want them, please post :-)

Thank you to Sir Hamish Longtail for testing out our first hammocks.

He has discovered that the tabs for holding the keyrings are most deliciously chewy, so FN has come up with a plan to thwart The Teeth Of Terror!

His mum suggested eyelets built into the corners of the hammock, which will be put into action this week.

Get ready for Phase Two, my sweet little chew monster 😂

Forage is now updated with a full new inventory.

I've added Standard Mint and Kale. Banana is to follow as is Fat Hen but I need to create listings for those.

In the meantime, I need to clean the house as with everything being updated, Mr FN will have a heart attack if he comes in and sees the state of the house lol

We're working on the new FN Admin Office! Well, our front porch lol.

Sharon and I have bought a load of draws and moved all the forage over. It is SO much better, and I am kicking myself I didn't do it ages ago. Forage is now better protected from moths while still allowing airflow.

The solid bottom also means that when we're weighing it out for an order, we don't end up with bits of leaf litter all over the worktop lol. So all in, it's tidier, better protected and much to Sharon's great delight - alphebetised!

Sidewinders (as I call them) have also been revamped. We have some absolutely beautiful branches available, both small (best for mice/gerbs/small birds) and some really chunky ones. These are best for rats, chins, guinia pigs and large birds.

The large ones are generally around 5cm thick, far too much for any ratty to get their teeth around, but are full of knobbles and peely bits to munch on!
