So phase two is here and hammocks now have eyelets. What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking a small, medium and large at £5, £8 and £10.

Does anyone have sizes they find silly expensive or hard to find that I could add with standard sizing?

I'm going to add a custom size option but I'd rather go for standard if possible.

We didn't get a claim on these prototype hammocks so they're free to the first rescue that responds to this post. They're not the best ones, we've changed the design, but they are free so if you want them, please post :-)

Thank you to Sir Hamish Longtail for testing out our first hammocks.

He has discovered that the tabs for holding the keyrings are most deliciously chewy, so FN has come up with a plan to thwart The Teeth Of Terror!

His mum suggested eyelets built into the corners of the hammock, which will be put into action this week.

Get ready for Phase Two, my sweet little chew monster 😂

Forage is now updated with a full new inventory.

I've added Standard Mint and Kale. Banana is to follow as is Fat Hen but I need to create listings for those.

In the meantime, I need to clean the house as with everything being updated, Mr FN will have a heart attack if he comes in and sees the state of the house lol

We're working on the new FN Admin Office! Well, our front porch lol.

Sharon and I have bought a load of draws and moved all the forage over. It is SO much better, and I am kicking myself I didn't do it ages ago. Forage is now better protected from moths while still allowing airflow.

The solid bottom also means that when we're weighing it out for an order, we don't end up with bits of leaf litter all over the worktop lol. So all in, it's tidier, better protected and much to Sharon's great delight - alphebetised!

Sidewinders (as I call them) have also been revamped. We have some absolutely beautiful branches available, both small (best for mice/gerbs/small birds) and some really chunky ones. These are best for rats, chins, guinia pigs and large birds.

The large ones are generally around 5cm thick, far too much for any ratty to get their teeth around, but are full of knobbles and peely bits to munch on!

Hi all, trying to get back in the swing of things and schedule posts like I usually do.

I did these and about 10 more about 2-3 weeks ago. The weather was good so all are now uploaded and available on the website. I have a box more to go through so keep an eye out, especially in the Willow section. For some reason they fell off the website and that's a shame, because twisted willow is one of my favorite woods. They make gorgeous sidewinders.

Thanks for all your comments yesterday, folk. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster to be honest. Main thoughts are with my mum, she's amazing and I love her very much.

I'm going to get some posts scheduled like I normally do, because I had been working on a lot of different things and I was excited to share them with you.

For all the people struggling, I am more than happy to listen and support any of you. We're all people, and we all have some good hugs ready ###

My sincere apologies to all for the delayed orders. Unfortunately my dad was taken ill last Saturday, and passed away Wednesday afternoon. I've been in Colchester, three hours from home.

I got back Friday afternoon, and have been recuperating. I've had a good few ugly crys, and will be going back soon for the funeral.

I've booked off Monday and Tuesday and will get everything out. Unfortunately I'm back at work on Wednesday, so normal weekend service will resume.

I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, and my apologies again for your orders being quite late.

Sharon has designed a whole new hanging platform, including a house, feeding area and other cool things! I can't tell you too much but once we have a prototype built I'll be able to tell you more...(Shhh! Don't tell her I told you!)

We have new material! The camo and dark green are a hard wearing material with the white camo being a bit looser. Sharon is going to make hammocks with all three as the test hammocks this Thursday (19/09) so they'll be ready for the giveaway I posted earlier - I try to prep posts in advance to keep the news flowing :-)

Hammocks - we now have five 20x20cm test hammocks. They're a hard wearing fabric (different colours) with fire retardent felt inside, bordered by fabric hoops with lobster clasps. Now I envision I'm going to have to add lengths of chain to allow the hammock to be adjusted height wise. Looking at the attached, how best do you think we can improve these prototypes? The first five to respond will get one of the hammocks to test drive, all I would ask is that you give me feedback on what you think to the material / construction etc. Are you able to help?
