New years CPE trial Wildcard Q 😄
Molly has not trialed in over 3 months! She did not qualify because she refused so many tunnels, but this was a tough course and really good for that long of a break! She was within course time, she just needed to have actually taken the tunnels when asked and not run past them etc. Hopefully we keep improving from here! Her focus was great outside of the ring, but the second we went in it was gone. I'm looking forward to the next ZAP trial her new sister will have arrived then 😉
Agility classes are slowly filling up for the next session (starting September 12th). Get in before it's too late! It is an amazing way to tire out your pets, both physically and mentally 😁 this picture was after 20 minutes of working on distance!

Are you prepared for the 4th?
Every year many dogs suffer from anxiety and fear when the fireworks go off, do not go out to see them with your pets. Create a cozy area to hangout with background noise to help them remain calm. Take your dog out way before dark to get them nice and tired so they have a greater chance of sleeping during the fireworks. Many areas around here it is illegal to set off fireworks, so please just don't do it! Hopefully this year is not too bad!!!
Socialization is extremely important for young dogs, the more positive experiences they have as a puppy the better off they will be in the long run. Socialization does NOT mean greeting every person or dog. Socialization is experiencing new things, environments, people, dogs, textures, smells, and sounds. As well as learning how to be calm around all of those things. Today I brought Tater Tot, an almost 5 month old puppy out to a local lake and practice basic obedience, greeting people, and observing dogs calmly from a distance (as best as he could). Training takes time and consistency, with those 2 things you can achieve anything with your canine partner!
There's still 2 spaces in my Canine Good Citizen Prep course at Four Paw Sports Center in Lynnwood! Starting this Saturday June 4th at 12:45pm!.The CGC prep course includes the test at the end, and is great for young adult-adult dogs interested in Therapy or Service work. Though any dog with decent manners already are perfect for this class, and you get to brag your dog has a title! The class meets for 6 weeks on Saturdays and is lots of fun!

This is Kobe (GSD) and Max (Puggle) we are working on leash reactivity while their owner recovers from hip surgery! They are quite good at the engage disengage game already, and did not react even though 3 small dogs accross the street were barking at them!
My temporary walking client Tucker! He is a 9 month old English Cream Golden Retreiver and such a silly boy. He likes to take his time and smell everything, he'll lay down in the middle of the road if he decides he doesn't want to keep walking. And apparently moving water in puddles is extremely fascinating🤣🤣🤣 he is working on walking well on a leash as well as not putting everything he finds in his mouth!
