Amy and Shawn 💓

Both of these Nonnies dogs spent time staying with us in our home when I was first learning about, and falling in love with the breed. I believe I groomed them both for this photo shoot. They were eventually bred together in 2014 and our Sophie is a granddaughter!

Amy was an absolute sweetheart and takes credit for my love of the breed. She was also the originator of the "pelican face" look and phrase in our home. She produced some lovely puppies and went on to be a service dog with Sniffer Dogs.

Shawn was my original English Cocker grooming competition dog. We travelled to New Jersey for our first big event together. He then went on to earn his Championship and competed in obedience all the way up to Utility with his legendary owner Tracz.

I have taken the time to carefully get to know and care for the grandparents, parents and relatives of my cockers before developing and putting my name on my breeding program. Guided by the mentorship of Vickie from Nonnies, I am proud of Jesselle Cockers focus and knowledge of health, appearance, and personality across the generations.

🏥👩🏻‍⚕️💸
We’ve had a few busy days at the vets!

💉 The puppies had their last set of vaccines (both are over 10 lbs now)

🦷 Enzo had his teeth cleaned

🩻 Filo had some x-rays and other health testing done

🔪 Sheila has been spayed

We’re very fortunate to have an excellent group of vets and staff here that we completely trust and value. But we hope we don’t see any of them again for a few months now. 😊

Our precious English Cocker, Sophie, has blessed us with three incredible litters —the Nuts, the Cheeses, and the Flower Girls. Each of her puppies has brought so much joy and love into their families thanks to her excellent care as a mom and passing on her great health, temperament and genes. (We are also grateful for the influences from Simon, RonJon and George).

Now, it’s Sophie’s turn to receive extra nurturing. She has been spayed and placed in the most wonderful retirement home, where she will spend her days alongside her daughter, Winnie. We couldn’t be happier knowing she’ll be showered with love and attention in this next chapter of her life.

They are nearby and we were able to visit them over the holidays. Sophie is doing very well and loving the special treatment and quieter environment at her beautiful new home.

Why does our yard have so many randomly placed chairs, tables and klimbs? 🤔

It’s to provide safe places for the big dogs to get away!

The puppies are almost 12 weeks old. They are learning manners from the adults, but still get quite rowdy and bitey. Filo and Sheila have been taught to jump up to get away when feeling annoyed or overwhelmed.

Enzo of course loves being right in the middle of the puppy shenanigans. 😃 🐩 🤎

Polly is on her way back to her home at Nonnies Cockers in 🇨🇦.

She’s been with us since August and we intended for her to have some babies here. Unfortunately things did not go as planned, so she’s headed back home.
