Meet Archie, he is looking for his forever home.
Archie is a one year old Border Collie x Staffy. He optimises these breeds combined. He is super smart and easy to train. Plus, he has the loving nature and loyalty everyone desires.
He has medium energy levels, he loves to be walked and to play tug but he also gives excellent cuddles. He would suit a property with a garden and plenty of space to play.
He came from a family with children and his previous owners told us they got on great. Although this has not been tested since, with the right introduction he would make a great addition to a family.
He has one or two insecurities but with training he has already overcome putting on his collar and leash, waiting before charging through an open door, waiting for his dinner and coming when called.
He has been desexed and has had all his vet checks and is microchipped as well as regularly taking his Nexguard.

Copper enjoys a deshed every 6 weeks to help keep his super thick coat under control. ✨

A regular deshed helps to keep your dog cool, keeps their skin and coat healthy, helps to prevent matting, and also helps to keep your floors clean to! 👏

A nice short coat will keep her cool for those hot summer days and means very little home maintenance in between her grooms. ✨

This is me and my Jessie girl. 🐾

I’m so proud of us and how far we have come since our first day of training with Port Paws Dog Training. 💪

If you are looking for a dog trainer I highly recommend contacting them and having a chat. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. ✨

This is Jessie and her owner Emma.
Emma contacted me because she felt she had lost touch with Jessie’s training. Emma wanted to gain more confidence whilst out walking Jessie, as well as build focus and trust. 🤝

Jessie had the tendency to feel nervous and a little uncomfortable seeing other dogs out, on their walks together. 😕

To make matters worse…they live on a road full of action. So much so, I named it “the gauntlet”. The first time we ventured down it together, we had dogs flying out of gardens at us, dogs barking behind fences, people and bikes everywhere! 🐕🚲🚶🏼🦮🤯

This photo was taken after completing our reactivity program. I think it’s clear to see that Jessie and Emma are now more on the same page (even stood here on the gauntlet) 😱

We taught Jessie, that she no longer needs to be out in front on their walks. We gave Emma the tools and techniques to take control and be the leader. All whilst desensitising Jessie to her emotions in regards to other dogs.
They both worked hard at the exercises and truly came a long way. 👏🏻

Today, they both joined us in group class, which is something Emma never thought she could do. They both did great and Jessie even managed to perform a restrained recall with other dogs present. Awesome work 🤜🏻
