Just wanted to give everyone an update and let y’all know Chip and our new girl have been introduced and are best buds! She definitely runs the show but he doesn’t seem to mind 🤪

Now that Chip has gained plenty of fat it’s time to work on turning some of that into muscle and filling the rest of his body out so we can have a nice, shapey, healthy boy 🌟

✨Just wanted to introduce the newest member of Flying S Ranch ✨

🌟This pretty girl is a 12 yr old grade QH mare who is nice and stout, and is just as gentle as Chip with a little more get up. She loaded into our small trailer with zero hesitation and we think she’s going to another gem of a horse! Feel free to drop any name suggestions as well. 🌟

Also, look at how much brighter chip’s mane and coat is getting. We love seeing progress!

🤠We have decided on a name!! 🤠
We’ve decided to name our first rescue ✨Chip✨ because of his love for potato chips! He gets them as treats every once in a while and comes running when he hears the sound of a chip bag being crumbled. He also loves green beans!

🍎We have been moving from one house to another so we’ve been a little out of pocket lately, but things are settled and slowing down now and we have an exciting new announcement coming this Monday!! Stay tuned to see what it is 🍎

🥕🍎Wanted to give y’all a better view of the brands he has! There’s on on the left shoulder that seems to be a 31 with a Y underneath, one on the left rear “8” and one on the right rear that’s a 4 with a line underneath. The brand on the left shoulder and right rear seem to be a bit rough/messy, but if anyone has seen these before please let us know! We’d love to know more about where this boy has been. 🍎🥕

☀️☀️☀️Day 3 with our first rescue!! He’s already starting to fill out a little more and loves attention! You could tell he was a little wary of people coming up to him at first but we already see a huge difference. He loves to be pet on his mane and just about falls asleep if you pet him long enough☀️☀️☀️

✨✨✨As you can see from our current profile photo, our first rescue is a beautiful 11 year old palomino gelding! We picked him up from East Texas yesterday and made the long drive back home. He was underweight and dirty when we got him, but he’s one of the sweetest, most gentle horses I’ve ever been around. Today he got a bath, some wormer, and lots of grass, hay, and grain to slowly put some weight back on him. He came with multiple brands and sadly some scars around his cinch area and mouth (like from a bit) so you can tell he’s definitely a “been there done that” kind of guy. For all the scrapes and scars he has he’s as gentle as can be! New name coming soon!✨✨✨

🌟🌟🌟This page will be dedicated to telling the stories and showing the progress of rescue horses pulled from killed pens and given a second chance. We just began with our first rescue on May 16, 2020 and hope to rescue and rehab many more! Thanks for tagging along! 🌟🌟🌟
