Update: Tracker is on his way to his new home near sister Trixie, AKA Ember! He is going to be sooooo happy!

I have a 1 year old male available that is out of a brother/sister Mis- breeding. He has been on birds, is house trained, and has a gentle disposition. He loves people and is great with other dogs. His owner had health issues and couldn’t keep him as active as these dogs require. We are asking $500 for him to recoup travel and boarding expenses. He is not registrable and not suitable for breeding.

How to maintain standards of high quality dogs- especially when we must keep them dual purpose- without being able to produce a minimum amount of puppies? to aim to go higher and to achieve such goal? only one way..to go and compete in real competition, like the French Nationale d'elevage or Field trials...Hard...but breeding is not a game for our personal ego.

Members of Congress Need to hear Your Opposition to Anti-Breeder Legislation – Call or email TODAY!

Members of Congress are currently back in their home districts for the August recess. Many are getting heavy pressure from animal rights activists in their districts to advance bills that are harmful to small hobby breeders.

Your Member of Congress needs to hear from you TODAY! Scroll down for contact information.

Please let them know you are a constituent who cares about responsible dog ownership and breeding.

Ask them to not support the Puppy Protection Act (H.R. 1624) and Goldie’s Act (H.R. 1788) and to not advance their harmful breeder mandates via the Farm Bill.

This Impacts Many Small/Hobby Breeders:

Breeders who maintain more than 4 “breeding females” (a term that is undefined but is generally considered to mean an intact female) and transfer even one of the offspring “sight unseen” would be subject to these new USDA requirements. “Breeding females” include any combination of cats, dogs, or other small pet mammals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. (Learn more.

Talking Points:
Ask them to oppose the Puppy Protection Act (H.R. 1624) and Goldies Act (H.R. 1788) because they undermine animal wellbeing and enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act. These bills are “feel good” proposals developed without the experience and scientific expertise of breeder experts.
One-size-fits-all requirements in the Puppy Protection Act fail to recognize the diversity of breeds of dogs impacted. It establishes arbitrary, non-scientific breeding prohibitions and government mandates that can undermine small specialty breeding programs, and harm some dogs.
Goldie’s Act would allow for seizure or immediate euthanasia of dogs that an inspector deems to have experienced “psychological harm”, a term the legislation does not define.
Explain you are a constituent. Respectfully share your experience and concerns as a dog owner/breeder/expert.
Ask them to not support advancing the Puppy Protection Act or Goldie’s Act out of committee or in the Farm Bill. Tell them, despite claims being made by animal rights groups, these bills DO impact responsible small breeders.
Ask them to instead support additional financial resources for USDA so they can appropriately enforce the requirements they already have.

Borrowed from my mentor of 20 years Patricia Rush so great full for breeders who care.

Our puppies and Breeding endorsements...why? when a breeder brings puppies into the world, he/she is responsible for the life that lies ahead of them, their welfare, their potential owner( who will need to understand the breed and do it justice in every sense) Life teaches you that not everyone is honest, and therefore until I get to trust an owner, I will not lift endorsements on any of our puppies. It is never about making money. Maybe I am going soft, but: when Morgana ( 6 1/2 year old abandoned tied to a tree) arrived back to our house, the look in her eyes brought tears to my eyes. When Jily was sold on as "useless" by a Falconer and passed on ( luckily to a great person)...when 2 of my French import's grand children ended in rescue because their breeder totally mis sold them to the wrong owners...when even their dam is passed on, when those unscrupulous people mix French and expensive bloodlines to mediocre dogs who are unproved in the Field or in the Ring....the list goes on...😞 So to those who wish to have one of our puppies, they are our life, our work, our passion. We will not see them become breeding machines.

Nadine has an exciting Pedigree combining 8 Elite French Champions on her sire's side alone. Her Dam, Isla, imported from France, is from strong snipe bloodlines and has 3 FT awards on wild game in Normandie. Milord has his working award and is regularly used on shoots, on pheasant & but also on grouse; he also field trials. He was BOB at Crufts 2018. All Nadine's siblings are worked.

Heading back to the land of the ruff grouse! Sure will be nice to hunt all my favorite spots in Michigan’s upper and and lower peninsulas this year, after not hunting for the past 7 years in Texas.
