Who doesn’t want regular piggy snuggles? Blaze and Taco are a bonded pair of 3-4 year old male guinea pigs who came to us when their owner could no longer keep them. They are good friends, with Taco being the ringleader and Blaze being the snuggler.

Our rat girls had their wellness checks yesterday and 5 went to their new homes: Two went home with one of the vet techs at our primary clinic (also a previous adopter of ours) and three went home with a foster of ours! Congrats sweet girls!

The remaining girls all have homes lined up but we have LOTS of boys still waiting!

We wanted to share that DOC has recovered well from his attack and is now allowed to have bedding again! In a few more days we will move him out of his hospital cage and into a bigger enclosure. Hopefully, he will be able to bond with some of the baby boys we have at the rescue and find an amazing home ❤️

MEET THE RAT BABIES! Here are all 18 boys. They were found in an abandoned house as pinkies along with their moms.

They will be ready to go after their wellness checks on the 23rd. We are accepting pre-applications now! You can reserve your desired ratties based on photos, or come to Minneapolis and meet them after their wellness checks and pick out the best fit for your family day-of.

They MUST go in pairs or trios at a minimum.

Rats are not christmas presents! The primary caretaker for the rats must be the one applying.

Guess what? Rat babies from the group found in an abandoned house are ready for pre-applications. Their wellness checks are scheduled throughout December and they can go home afterwards!

What does a pre-application mean? Once approved, you can either pick which rats you are most interested in adopting based on photos, or if you are able to come to Minneapolis you can meet the whole group of babies after their wellness checks and take home your babies that day, since they will be vet checked and your application reviewed and approved.

We have 12 girls and 18 boys. They must go in PAIRS at a minimum, but we recommend trios if you don’t already have rats at home to bond them with. Primarily black/brown and dark grey hooded rats, as well as a few pink eyed white cuties. Questions? Email Aster: [email protected]

We are devastated to hear about the fire that destroyed Poofy Friends Chinchilla Rescue and the home of its founder. Please consider donating to help them rebuild as well as a donation to CMA chinchilla rescue that is housing all of Poofy Friends’ chinchillas until further notice.

DONATIONS NEEDED!!!

We spent our Thanksgiving at the emergency vet after Doc’s brother Grumpy suddenly attacked him. He suffered numerous deep bites and a pr*****ed testicle. We are thankful their foster noticed quickly, separated them ASAP, and our coordinator immediately drove out to pick them up and get them to Como Park Animal Hospital.

Grumpy is okay, but Doc needed several wounds closed including the one on his testicles. There is a high chance of complications such as his testicles abscessing which may require neutering or other surgical assistance to fix. Our bill today was $492 but his continued care with our primary vet could easily double that and bring his care over a thousand dollars.

We have spent a LOT of money at the vet lately. We need funding to ensure that we can provide Doc with top notch care. Everything raised on Give To The Max Day (thank you!!!!!) went straight to replenishing our vet fund. This meant that we had the money right away to pay his bill and get him help, but we never know when more medical bills will crop up.

KEITH has found his forever home just in time for the holidays. Our vet said he has “very strong jaws” at his wellness check 😂 We knew from the start he would probably end up staying forever with our intake coordinator who looooves the biters. Congrats little buddy!
