Sanctuary animals are animals who will be staying with the rescue for the remainder of their lives. Sometimes this is due to a health concern, like Jacques who had a mammary tumor removed. Mammary tumors often recur, so we decided to keep her so we can make sure any further tumors are promptly dealt with. Sometimes this is due to age, like with Estella, Pikachu, and several more! Changing homes is stressful on a rodent, and when they come to us already quite advanced in age we would rather spoil them for the remainder of their time rather than move them again.

We didn’t realize just how serious Orbit would take us when we told him he couldn’t get adopted until he put on some weight. This little boy has packed on the grams and we have decided he’s plumped up enough to adopted. One of our previous adopters has already applied to adopt this sweet boy, so he’s already got his forever home lined up and we know his new family in anxious to meet him. We just love happy endings.
It’s hard to believe adorable Theodore hasn’t been adopted yet. He’s reasonably calm, for a robo hamster. Help Theo find his forever home!
Miffy is a very sweet hybrid dwarf hamster who is looking for her forever home. Her old owner loved her dearly but could no longer keep her in her apartment. She is friendly with people & doesn’t mind being picked up or held briefly. We had to clip her nails and she didn’t even fuss! Good girl, Miffy!
