The mama rats from the abandoned house crew are finally ready for adoption!

MARLIN and THUNDER: Marlin isn’t from the abandoned house, but she is best friends with Thunder, who was being picked on by the other moms. These older ladies can’t wait to find the perfect retirement home!

Okay, we have some intros to catch up on…
-
We took in three hybrid dwarf hamster babies from a family who purchased a pregnant hamster, not realizing she was pregnant. They’re not sexed and named yet, but we will update soon. They all look like the cutie in this picture!
-
MIA is a lovely female chinchilla. Originally we were helping with transport to a different rescue, but things came up so now she’s staying here. The surrendering owner believed she may be blind in one eye, so she’ll be getting evaluated by our vet soon.
-
CHROLLO is a ~6 month old male mouse. He came to us with a female mouse and their four babies, but I forgot to take photos of them. He is a little nervous but too cute with his roan fur!

We sure do love adoptions! Today was a big day for them.

CATERPIE and BIDOOF are the first two of the Pokemon Pups to find a home. They have a mansion and a loving family!
FAUX is now Faye and has been adopted by one of our mouse fosters after she successfully integrated with her other females!
SHIFU and CHUNKS went to a wonderful woman who is excited to own ferrets again after many years.

TACO (4 year old abyssinian) and BLAZE (3 year old shorthair) are a bonded pair of male guinea pigs who came to the rescue after their loving owner couldn’t keep them anymore.

Taco is the ringleader, first to complain if dinner is a little late and first to investigate new objects in the enclosure. Blaze is a little more nervous and tends to stick close to his buddy. Both love being handfed vitamin C cookies, their veggies, and flipping over their hides. They are adorable gentlemen!

FLO and BINGO are a bonded pair of 3-4 year old female guinea pigs. These girls are yin and yang- Flo is calm, social, and submissive. Bingo is the big boss and full of energy. Sometimes Bingo pushes Flo around but they do truly love each other.

They came to us struggling with social skills with people, but have made amazing progress thanks to their foster family and now happily greet them, wheek for treats, and are comfortable with handling.

DOC the rat was foster-failed. He is currently too afraid of other rats since his attack to be housed with anyone else, but he is making great progress with people and gets a lot of attention. His family is hopeful in the future he can move in with their other gentle male rats.

CHINCHILLAS GALORE! Have you ever wanted a fluffy, fuzzy, funny critter (or two) to rule over your home and demand treats? Do we have the beasts for you…

DAISY (beige) and HONEY (standard grey) are a bonded pair of 8 year old females. They are learning so much about being friendly at their foster home and really starting to open up. Honey loves running into her foster family’s hands but Daisy is a little more nervous.

LULU and ROXY are a bonded pair of identical females. They even weigh almost the same. Roxy is a little bolder and friendlier but they are both good girls who will step into your arms. Lulu is 4 and Roxy is 3.

ROOSEVELT is a 5 year old male chinchilla who lost his elderly buddy to old age. He is super sweet and friendly for a chinchilla, easy to pick up and takes treats readily. He would do great with another chinchilla buddy, or a home that can give him regular daily attention.
