K9 Callie has worked extremely hard over the last 36 hours and is headed home to recharge.

Based out of the Kentucky National Guard 123rd Airlift Wing - Kentucky Air National Guard, she is the only search and rescue (SAR) dog in the DoD.

Over the last few days, she has searched with her teammates via ground search, boat teams, and helicopter.

Along with her handler, Kentucky Air National Guard Master Sgt. Rudy Parsons, and the 123rd Special Tactics Squadron, Callie, assisted in the rescue of 15 Kentuckians and two dogs.

Though Callie is primarily trained in locating live missing people, today she assisted in the difficult task of locating and recovering four deceased children.

Get some rest, Callie. Kentucky needs you.

Experienced Pet Sitter and Dog Walker

I started pet sitting / house sitting for a family member back in 2001 when I had just started college and needed the extra income. I was then reminded that I love animals and do an excellent job in caring for them and that I could market myself to other friends and family to pet sit / house sit while the family was away for work or pleasure. Over the next ten years I consistently had about 5-6 clients that I would help out while they were away. Fast forward to 2017 after marriage, numerous moves (including out of state), career change and two dogs of my own....WE have landed in Lexington, KY where we own a solar panel business; Mann Solar and my husband is a tennis instructor. I am responsible for facilitating solar sales, marketing and accounting for our business but I wanted to do something with my spare time that I actually love doing and would be flexible to my random hours working for a small business. Once again reminded of my love for animals and recommendations from others I began to walk dogs in my neighborhood. I have a couple of awesome consistent clients and am looking to fill my schedule with a few more. I also offer pet sitting / house sitting for when you have to leave town and need someone you can trust. I have references I can provide if you are interested and I can come meet you and your furry family member to see if it is a match for all!
