Just your casual Tuesday reminder that emergency services are only available for current clients. "Current client" means Dr. Shine has examined your animal(s) in the past 12 months.

Please don't wait until you have an emergency to call a veterinarian. Get established as a client for routine care so that when an emergency arises you have access to emergency services!

With the sudden on change in direction of this storm, we know its hard to make things happen in 48 hours so LCA will be creating a list of producers that need help moving cattle out and a list of producers that can help move cattle and have places for them to stay.
Please call 225-428-7163 or 985-520-7124 if you need help getting cattle out or if you are someone that can help. We are praying this storm turns out to be nothing but want to be here for you if you need help!

*** UPDATE!!!***

Splendor Farms in Bush, LA is accepting pastured horses only!

Dancing Hooves Stable & Boarding has room for anyone who needs a place to go.

As of noon, Models are shifting to a stronger storm at landfall so please, please take necessary preparations. Rustic Sky Horse Camp has openings and we will have more information on other facilities as soon as we get them.

Hello everyone!
Due to a Tropical Storm in the Gulf of Mexico, we have been asked to compile a list of facilities and individuals who can offer shelter to horses and farm animals during the storm. Since 'Francine' is projected (as of right now) to make landfall on September 11th, we do not have much time to prepare. We have made a form for anyone who has the power to house displaced horses and animals. As of right now, we are concerned about the potential rainfall in the lower Parishes of the state, specifically below Interstate 10 and further south HWY 14. Please make sure to fill out the form linked below so we can get everyone the help they need.

Happy Wednesday to all of our wonderful clients!

As I get our awesome new vet tech, Courtney, up and running you will notice appointment reminders, scheduling questions, appointment follow ups and more coming from our new virtual number: (833) 309-2132.

This phone number is not for phone calls or emergencies. It is a way for Courtney and I to communicate with all of you no matter where we are working from. Feel free to text this number at any time with questions and one of us will get back to you during normal business hours.

The regular phone number is still 325-451-4857 and you will still call/text this number for emergencies and/or other questions. I have just added a second way for us to be able to better serve our growing client base.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

To all of my wonderful clients: your patience and understanding is GREATLY appreciated when it comes to appointment times and routine questions. It is always my intent to be on time for appointments and to get your questions answered in a timely manner. If I am a running late or it takes a few days for me to answer your questions - please know that I am not sitting around making you wait on purpose! I don’t answer the phone while I am with other patients and just as I’m sure those clients appreciate my undivided attention, I know you do too once I am seeing your pet. I will always do my best to give you a heads up if I am running late to an appointment because I know your time is valuable.

This is the friendliest reminder that my normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and routine questions will only be answered during those hours. Emergencies should follow the instructions on my voicemail for the quickest response time.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out!
