A little backstory of why I started this journey. We’ve had goldens in my family a combined over 30 years, they’re our heart breed. My mom was a survivor of multiple strokes and a brain aneurysm, she recovered, mostly. To a certain degree she was comprised and dealt with anxiety, OCD, and depression. One thing that my mom loved was her dogs, but she struggled with the excessive shedding of goldens (I know it may seem silly to many, but not to those that are/have suffered from OCD/anxiety). She always wanted a Goldendoodle, eventually that day came true for her. We both had Goldendoodles, one was poorly bred, she suffered a fatal seizure in 2020, a day before the 2 year mark of my moms death, and the other suffered with anxiety and lacked confidence a lot. She still loved her doodle, Dory, and she was there for my mom when she was lonely.

My mom passed away very suddenly in June of 2018 when I was 8.5 months pregnant. I don’t often admit it, but I’ve suffered from extreme anxiety and PTSD that I hide very well. Late in 2018 I wanted to begin the search to find a dog to start a program with dogs for those suffering PTSD. By 2019 we purchased our foundation dog, Chava, after extensive research. Dogs touch a part of my heart that no one can touch, when people have failed me my dogs have been there, through the continued daily grief from my mom my dogs have been there. A friend recommended this curriculum to use in my program, when I looked into this I know I found my place. Where I’m supposed to be.

It feels surreal to finally get my logo and business name in place for my dogs. My mom helped name my daughter a few days before she died, I knew it had to be included in this. She’s the driving force behind why I’m starting this journey. I’m so ready to start this and work with families to find that special pup for their hearts. Each year I plan on donating pups in my moms name, Sherri, in hopes to continue her legacy through the heart healing work these pups will do. I look forward to continuing to grow and learning daily in this program.

The past and present. The girls that have helped shape me to where I’m headed. ♥️🐾

Mya, my very first golden, why I fell in love with the breed. Marlee, our very first goldendoodle, a poorly bred reverse F1B with an improper coat. She passed of sudden seizures in 2020 at the young age of 6. A reason why I’m striving to improve and breed better pets for family’s. Dory, my mommas F1B goldendoodle. A beautiful, well bred doodle, but lacking the confidence and courage in many situations, the reason I’m implementing the BAB curriculum in my program to show my puppies the world is safe and people are kind. Chava, my foundation for Pawfect Tail Doodles. The dog that came along to heal a piece of my heart after losing my mom, the driving force behind this program. I can’t wait to pour my heart into this and see where it takes me. This is where I belong. I want to “Heal Hearts, Four Paws at a Time”. ♥️🐾

“I have found that when you are deeply troubled, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can get from no other source.” – Doris Day

I’m Courtney, a mom, wife, dog mom, and breeder. I with my husband, Raymond, and our three children.

I have a passion deep in my soul for what I’m doing, I always have. It wasn’t until after the loss of my mom, in 2018, that I began searching for an emotional support animal and realized where my “purpose” was.

On the search for my beloved Golden, I found there were many areas lacking in what I had envisioned. I wanted connection, I wanted health tested, I wanted pictures, I wanted videos, I wanted updates, I wanted support after coming home, I wanted parent dogs to be apart of the family, and I wanted temperament, most of all. I wanted ALL of this, not just bits and pieces. I found lots of bits and pieces, but not what I had hoped for entirely.

I knew there was a need for healthy, well bred, even tempered companions for families.

I always say the “heart” behind Pawfect Tail Doodles and this is why. It all started from a place of broken heartedness for my mamas sudden death, the grief that followed, and a dream I had. All the pieces of this journey to today, intricately woven together. 🤍

When you see me say, “Mending Hearts and Making Memories”, there’s a reason why. My mom wore a pin that said Mending Hearts, my grandma had got it for her years ago. I never quite understood the meaning, until I did.

After her death I always heard the, “your heart will heal with time” or focus on your healing etc. but it never felt right. I didn’t feel as though I could heal, how could I?!

I’ve learned over the last 4.5 years I’m not really healing to who I was before, I’m “mending”. To mend is to repair, patch, or rebuild. I’m learning to rebuild, a new and different path of life. I’ve learned to cherish the memories of the past and enjoy making new memories even more. It’s a new way of life for me…and that’s ok.
Hello
My mission, my goals, and my dreams are all from my heart to help mend another’s 🤍

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction are preformed from days 3 to 16 of a puppy's life.

ENS is a series of exercises that are meant to "wake up" the puppy's nervous system a little bit earlier than it normally would. Therefore giving the puppy a bit of a head start!

The benefits of ENS are known to affect the puppy for the rest of its life. Dogs who were exposed to ENS have shown greater resistance to disease, a higher tolerance for stress, improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adernal glands and are typically more confident in unfamiliar situations.

ESI is a set of protocols that help breeders to increase their puppy's olfactory development. Thus enhancing its ability to identify and react to scents!

Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction are just a piece of this puppy raising pie! After day 16 our curriculum continues as we move into noise exposure, handling exercises, and so much more! 🥳
