We have collected over 5200 signatures, yet many dog owners are unaware of the consequences of the Point Cartwright Masterplan.
Seven (7) councillors voted yes to this plan, which means dogs will be banned from the northern beach and on leash everywhere else in Point Cartwright soon.

We fought hard and sought to protect our way of life, but this morning council voted 7-3 in favour of the Point Cartwright Reserve and La Balsa Park Master Plan.

Whilst I respect council’s decision making process, I wanted to thank Cr Peter Cox and Cr Ted Hungerford for standing with me against the councils proposed master plan and its implications for where dogs may be able to be walked off leash in the future.

Please be on the lookout for the next stages of consultation that will occur with the local law process regarding pet access to the area.

Today we lost a part of what makes the Sunshine Coast special.

Thank you all for your support and advocacy to council on this issue. It was my pleasure to represent your views today.
