A little upsate on our little handrear kitten 🌟Star🌟
On Saturday 20th April, A Star was born.
She was born on a shelf in a shed. Sadly her Mum was startled just after she had given birth to her, and little Star was left alone.
The people who owned the shed did everything they could to hopefully reunite her with her Mum, but after 2 days, and no sign of her mum returning, the very tired owner of the shed (who had been bottle feeding Star every 2 hours for 2 days) decided to hand her over to a rescue so that Star could get the comfort of a home as she didn't have her Mummy.
So, on Monday 22nd April, I became her Foster Mum.
On Tuesday 23rd April, little Star 🌟 weighed 152grams, which is a terrific weight for a baby without their mum. She also started purring.
She has continued to go from strength to strength. She opened her eyes (or started to) after just 5 days old. They were fully open by day 7.
By day 9, she was biting on the teat of the bottle, and sure enough her little teeth are trying to make an appearance, which usually doesn't happen until somewhere between 2-3 weeks.
We did try twice to get her to feed off a mumma cat who gave birth around the same time as Star was born, but sadly, despite all of our efforts, she just couldn't get the hang of suckling from her. She is a lovely Mumma cat though and was amazing at cleaning and cuddling her and even her kittens accepted her. But without milk, Star would die...so we made the decision to carry on with the bottle feeding and me as her Foster mum.
She is now 15 days old. She weighs 350grms.
I've shared a video of her progress so far, and this includes a picture of her next to a Pepsi can so you can gauge her size!
We are very lucky to still have her here, still fighting, and thriving.
And with any luck, she will looking for her new home in a couple of months time.
Mango
😻An update on the beatiful Mango and Spook😻
The adorable Mango has made good progress over the last 10 days. Her tail (of which there is an inch left) is healing well. Her leg ( which the vets wanted to amputate) is healing -she stands on it for short periods of time and walks around her pen without appearing to be in any pain. Her toes no longer curl under her foot -she is standing on the foot.
Both Mango and Spook were treated for fleas, mites and worms in their arrival and Spooks runny bum, and Mango’s ear mites have all cleared.
Thank God we sought a second opinion from our vets. And saved both of them from being pts.
Just listen to her purrrrrr
Release back to garden
The feral mum cat we caught last week was neutered on Friday, and returned to the garden where a warm bed has been left and a food station. She wasn’t however hanging around. 🤞🤞🤞she returns for the food, at least she won’t have to worry about any more babies.
Do you ever get that feeling that the kittens are up to something……😹🤦🏼♀️😹

Please share far and wide 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐈⬛
Little Trixie has had a long day. She has discovered food for the first time and had lots of cuddles. She has been a fabulous little girl and used the litter tray all on her own. 😻
Can’t believe these gorgeous pair haven’t had any enquiries. The beautiful duo were found in a lay-by in the middle of nowhere. The mum only a youngster herself of 6/7 months and her then 2 week old kitten (now 9 weeks) have thrived with the brilliant care of their fosterer. They are friendly, and very playful and typically naughty torties.
Please share -All the lovely duo now want is their very own forever home. Can you be their ‘happy ever after’
