❤️CHECKERS ANYONE ❤️
I know I posted this Checker Game in August. I thought I had it finished at the time. Until I found out, there is 12 pieces per side, not 8. That kind of bummed me out. Because I was tired of carving so many of the same pieces. So I tabled this project. Until I finished my Wood Eye Carving. And I thought it was time to do something for myself. So I figured it was time to finish the Checker Game.
So here is the finish project. Well, maybe. The key rings on the board are to be used as crowns on the Gnomes. I may paint them Gold, or have Donna Kuehn crochet yarn around on them. Or just leave them. Haven't decided yet. But it's a playable Checker Game so I'm saying it's done.

Ps: I'll let you know if I made the game right after I play it. Which will be in the next couple of days. If I win I did a great job on it. If I loose. I'll have to figure out where I went wrong in making it. 😆 🤣 😂

Like the old saying goes." All good things must come to an end."
30 years ago I started one of Lincoln County's first CSA, Community Share Agricultural. Shortly after I started my CSA. I switched, and joined the Merrill Area Farmers Market. Where I served on the Steering Committee a couple years, was the first president for the market when we became our own Independent Organization and served for 2 years. Then served as secretary for 3 years. I am one of the Original vendors that started the Tomahawk Farmer's market. Where I served as president for 2 years and secretary for 2 years.
When the market, what is now the Tomahawk Farm and Flee switched from Thursday to Saturday, I made the decision to stay with the Tomahawk Farmer and Flee Market.
I retired at the age of 62, due to health reasons. I wanted to continue with the market by down sizing. I wanted to do what so many of the vendors I got to know through the years did. Enjoy showing up to make a little extra cash, and stay incontact with my loyal customers and fellow vendors.
But time, and health isn't always friendly. It was clear to me, as this season went on, I needed to make this my last year being part of the Farmer's market. The last couple weeks showed me that I will not be able to finish out the last few weeks of the market season. This is not because of any major changes in my health. I have finally realized, I just can't handle it anymore. In order for me to be able to do the things, Donna and I have plans for, I need to shift my energy towards them.
Last Saturday took alot out of me. I realized it had to be my last day. I am still thinking of doing a couple CRAFT shows with my dog treats and our Art and crafts. I'm thinking of selling my Moo Cow Bow Wows Homemade dog treats and rhubarb off the farm. So I'll keep you all posted as things develop.
I would like to encourage everyone to keep supporting the Tomahawk Farm and Flee Market. It will be running this year until the last Saturday of October.
I was always and still am a huge advocate for buying locally grown produce. These growers work hard to grow, and bring their produce to market. Sometimes, because of the different growing season, It may take them longer to get certain things at their stand. Please be patient. These are local people from our community, supporting, and spending their money in locally.
But now it's time to move on and enjoy my retirement with Donna.
I will end this by saying Kuehn Acres would like to say THANK YOU to ALL those who have supported me these past 30 years.
THANK YOU
Tom Kuehn

Ps: The captions under the pics will explain them.

OK everyone. I'll admit I'm getting anxious. My goal this year was to hand out 125, Hand Carved One Carrot Necklaces. That I personally carved, painted, and strong myself. I'm down to 37 Necklaces to hand out as Thank You Gifts for 37 more Free Will Donations.
If I can just get 37 more Free Will Donations. Not only will I reach my goal of 125. I will be able to fill out this check and give 💯 Percent of all those Free Will Donations to Ties That Bind Us. A local organization that helps Local cancer patients and Local caregivers of cancer patients.
But I need everyone's help. I really want to reach my goal of handing out 125 Thank You One Carrot Necklaces. For the soul purpose of making as much as possible to write on this check and to give to a worthy organization like Ties That Binds Us.
So please donate what ever you can. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Remember this Fundraiser is to raise money for an organization that is helping our local cancer patients and our local caregivers of cancer patients.
Care A Patch will be set up at the Tomahawk Farm and Flee Market Tomorrow. In Qualhems True Value parking lot. From 8am to 2pm. Look for the sign and the Care A Patch Garden Box in the picture.
