During 2021 I made the difficult decision to close Small Paws Pet Care for dog walking, and cat sitting due to the impact of Covid, and me having major surgery.
I have now gone back into full time employment.

As many of my clients know I like to find new places to walk, try out enclosed secure fields, and find those dog friendly places to eat and shop!

I will be keeping this page open to post information and reviews about the places we explore.

Took my girls and their friend to try out K9 Retreat - Priory Farm in Langley today to their agility field.
They have an enclosed field, and an enclosed agility field. Very safe, great equipment if you want to try, practice, or just tire the dogs out. Great fun afternoon!
Highly recommend!

🎄🎄With the news that 3 households can mix over a few days at Christmas, it gives everyone a chance to visit family they may not have seen for quite some time.🎄🎄

I was up at 4.30am this morning, not to walk dogs, but to go on a ramble with Ramble Happy!

Lovely walk by the river in the mist and the pleasure of watching a beautiful sunrise at the end 😍
Take a look at the Ramble Happy page, a great way to start the day, and to meet new people! You can even bring your dog (my two stayed at home this morning, bit early for them!)

Decided to check out the new private paddock in Egham/Thorpe Lea this afternoon, and managed to get a last minute booking.

A fully enclosed, secure paddock with lots of enrichment opportunities including a treat wall, climbing areas , jumps, weaving poles, all in a safe secure space.

The paddock can be booked in 50 minute slots, for up to 4 dogs.

A great place, highly recommended!

Up and out by 6.30 this morning to get some shady cooler walks in. With plenty of water to drink along the way.
While we are in a heatwave it is better to avoid walking your dogs at all, but if you can’t avoid it, very early morning is the best time. And so peaceful too 🙂

Hi everyone,

Following the government update today, I am pleased to advise I will be open fully from tomorrow, Monday 11th May, for Solo dog walks, and small animal care only.
I will be following Covid-19 safety procedures I already have in place.

Existing clients please contact me as you are ready to start up dog walks again, your space is secure. Please note I will only be doing solo dog walks for the foreseeable future.

Hope everyone is keeping well and finding lots of things to do during this lockdown.

Following recent guidelines I am pleased to say that I will be open for business again from today Thursday 16 April, whilst following strict processes.

I am currently able to dog walk for those that are shielding, or classed as vulnerable. I have been doing this since the government announcement on 23rd March for a couple of existing clients and it has worked very well.

At the present time I am able to offer “no contact” walks, where I collect your dog at the door for a local walk, and use my own leads.

Please note-all walks are solo walks, I will not be walking any dogs together (unless from same household)

I’m so sad to be saying this, and knew it was just around the corner. As of today Small Paws Pet Care will be closed for the next 21 days and until the Government advice changes and we can return to work.

I’ve had many sleepless nights about this day happening and working out how best I can still look after all my lovely furry friends! I’m not sure me on FaceTime would quite have the same effect though! 😢

As always, I am on the end of the phone if you need any advice or if I can help with anything remotely.

Anyone I didn’t get the chance to speak to last night I will contact this morning.

Please send me pics of your four legged babies to keep spirits up in this tough time. I’ll be missing them terribly and thinking of them often. Lots of tears shed here last night, just thinking about how much I love spending my days with them all, watching my little puppy friends grow, and learn, walking in some lovely open spaces we have around here, and helping those nervous dogs overcome their fears. My poor dogs got fed up with all the cuddles they got last night 💔

Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for your ongoing support. I am so lucky to be able to look after your wonderful pets. Hopefully this next few weeks will go some way to help the current situation we all face.

In these difficult times, please don’t forget your animals regular medications and flea/worming treatments.
Most of the local vets are doing order and payment by phone at the moment.
I am happy to pop in to the vets (I’m quite often in Maidenhead too for Vets4pets) and collect medication for you during my day.

Look what’s arrived today!

While getting some Flexitags for my two girls, I thought I’d get some to slip on the collar/harness of our Small Paws customers in addition to their ID tags whilst we are out for a walk.
These are a great alternative to the dangling tags which both my girls hate the noise of.
My dogs also have collars with my phone number embroidered in, and the other vital info etched on the collar clasp.

Please make sure your dogs have the required info (Control of Dogs 1992) on their tags and please ensure you keep their microchip information up to date.
