She sure did surprise me, never asked for a flying lead change and bam is it flawless no but we like little progress around here! Also never been able to swing anything over her head especially on her and she is definitely starting to trust and we are gaining some respect🩷

Happy 2022 Everyone!
Tipsy Barrel Horse Productions is BACK!
2021 was a long year for the Gustavus household and didn’t give me anytime to plan things for you all! That being said I want to say a huge apology for that and we will be back in business with races this year and more to come by the end of 2022❤️
I am working on getting together a schedule for this year, so excited to see what 2022 brings for everyone!! Not only is this page for our races it will start to include other things as well, if y’all want to see certain things like tips or anything like that just let me know in the comments I want this page as active as possible with you all and want to know what you all want to see!

I have bad news.....
I am having to cancel the Summer Series Due to the virus😞
BUT, I will be rescheduling it to do a Fall/Winter Series! Everything will still be the same, we will still have the high money saddle and all the prizes, we will just have new dates and a new location which is TBD right now! Thank you all for the support and I will keep you all updated as soon i know when and where!!

I’ve had people ask about the race we were supposed to have at Berryville Saturday it has been canceled due to the virus! I didn’t make an event for it because it had gotten cancelled.

If you know me you know that Hurley is my heart Horse and forever will be, yesterday he turned 12, he has been officially retired for a little over a year and it breaks my heart that he can’t do what he loves anymore. But he will never leave my barn he will forever stay with me ❤️ I got him unicorn cupcakes yesterday for his birthday and he was NOT a fan😂 Thank you for everything you have taught me sweet boy even though we can’t do what we love together anymore I will forever be grateful to have you in my field 💕

Dear PETA

Here is the things you don’t see...

The long cold restless nights of making sure our horses are as comfortable as possible

The million of hours spent on the research on different products to help them become even more healthy

The emergency vet calls In the middle of the night

The many hours walking a horse back and forth in the same area just so they make it through the night

The sleeping in the stall barn watching every move they make

The amount of time put into making them comfortable..while we wear the same t-shirt for three days in a row

The amount of money put into things that we don’t know if it will work

The amount of time our chiropractor puts into making sure our babies feel no pain

The amount of time our farrier puts into making sure our babies feet feel like they are walking on clouds

The stress of not knowing if we will still have them in the morning

The making sure they have food and water before you do

The sitting on the side of the road letting them out to stretch and get some water

The knowing every little thing they will and won’t eat, will and won’t do

The millions of miles traveled to make sure they go to the best Vet

The money spent on things you can only use once but know it helps so don’t think twice about it

The love put into everything we do for them

The amount of tears and sweat put into making sure everything is better for them and making sure they are as relaxed as possible.

The walking all the way around fairgrounds just to find a water spout that works

The long walks from the trailer to the stall barn with 4 buckets of water, 4 full hay bags, 4 buckets of feed

The mucking out stalls till our hands are blistered

The wanting to go inside to the heat but there’s two more hours of chores to do

The breaking ice that’s 2-4 inches thick just so they can have water

The spending more money and time into their well- being than your own

The many nights we missed going and doing something fun because we had a sick horse

Before you go and tell us that we are the worst people on the planet... come to a good rodeo/barrel race and see for yourself how much time and money are put into these amazing athletes, and how much we cherish each and every good and bad moment with them. The wins. The loses. They still get the same treatment and same amount of love.

I realized I never properly introduced myself to this page..so here it goes!
My name is Madison Osterhout and I am the owner of Tipsy Barrel Horse productions!
I love putting on barrel races for y’all that is close and has good prizes, I just started this business last October and plan to add way more than just producing barrel races in the near future! I have been around and rode horses my whole life and have been barrel racing since I was 6-7 years old. These are my current main girls that I run, the sorrel is karma my little red rocket and the buckskin is Viper my problem child, and we can’t forget about our sweet mascot miss Paisley May🐶Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey from the beginning and the so many new friends I have made ❤️❤️ I would LOVE for y’all to be heavily active on this page and give me ideas of things you would like to see in the future🌸
