Puppy Groom! We don’t clip during a puppies first groom we introduce them to all our equipment, noises, smells and sounds. Get them comfortable being on the table, lots of treats and positive verbal commands.

Breeds that need a lot of grooming, i.e curly coats - it’s super important to get them into the groomers and comfortable with the grooming process. She did amazing and looks super cute all fluffy, during the puppy groom we can clear their eyes and tidy their face too. What a good girl! See you soon 🐾 🥹✨

A brush a day keeps the matts away! The owner booked in their extremely matted dog after missing a few appointments with their previous dog groomer, listen it happens but the main thing is you get them booked in and comfy again. He was such a good boy considering how uncomfortable this groom must’ve been for him. Fresh start matt free and I know he now feels a million times better, he will be a lovely length for summer. Remember their fur will always grow back, so when they’re cut extremely short due to excessive matting it’s what’s best for them. The humane thing to do is clip short, there was no way of me salvaging any of his coat, where we can we will always try and keep the coat to the length the owner requests however if the matting is too severe we will always put the dogs needs first. The owner has booked in their next appointment to avoid this matting happening again, which is perfect. #matting #matteddoggroom #doggrooming

*TRAINING WORK* Today I had a very naughty Jasper 🤣 he tested my patients to a whole new level and gave me a great insight as to what’s to come. Working with animals isn’t easy and Jasper taught me that haha. He really isn’t a fan of being groomed especially his legs we had a slight bite to my arm and then had to muzzle him to finish the groom. A great lesson for me even if I did get a slight nip 🫣🐕🤍 #groomingstudent #doggrooming

*TRAINING WORK* Clipping is harder than it looks! This week they let us loose with clippers and I can honestly say I was shocked at how hard it was to master luckily we have another 4 weeks on the course to perfect our clipping. #doggrooming #studentdoggroomer #followmyjourney
