Meet Flower & Luke. Flower & Luke are the first graduates from the EF5 K9 Dog Training that are part of Angel Fund OKC Rescue. These boys are litter mates and are now ready for their forever home having achieved Level I obedience. Just consider…their adoption fee is less than half the price of the amount of training and medical they have received. Had a good day training Saturday. Bronya seems to be very clear headed in bitework. She has a really nice full bite and is quiet on the sleeve. Sure like that about her.

EF5 K9 DOG TRAINING has agreed to assist Angel Fund OKC in the placing of rescued dogs by training selected dogs to participate in their Board & Train program. All dogs completing the program will have achieved Level I basic training which includes the following exercises: sit, down, walk on a leash, touch on a touch pad, beginning the sustained down (stay), and swinging into the proper basic position. Included in the program is one free lesson for the owners of a certified dog (by appointment only.)
The program is limited to large dogs and some medium sized dogs. If you are interested in a dog on the Angel Fund OKC website that has not yet certified in the program, please contact the Angel Fund OKC to see about qualifying for a future training date after purchase at no additional cost.
Dogs currently enrolled in the program are littermates Flower and Luke.
All services from EF5 K9 DOG TRAINING through Angel Fund OKC are donated.

Well, our Schutzhund foundation is officially established. Bronya passed her BH at the club trial yesterday. She is proving to be an easy dog to work and I look forward to going on and training the disciplines of the IGP I. Thank you Tulsa Schutzhund Club for all your help and support.

This is Ikseong Joo, his wife Li, their children Bryan & Hannah, and their 100 lb male German Shepherd named Teacup. Teacup, who is now 9, has been boarding with EF5 K9 every year and often twice a year since his Board & Train in 2015. I’ve enjoyed watching him (and the kids) grow up and look forward to every time he comes to stay.

This year marks the 10th anniversary for EF5 K9 Dog Training. While I train my personal dogs in the German protection sport of Schutzhund, my purpose for EF5 K9 was and still is to help and train the large back yard dog and their owners. I remember the many ads during those 10 years that read something like “Tired of your big dog taking you for a walk?”, or “Does your dog only listen when it is convenient for him?’ or “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” Henry Ford

They have been good years for me. Some clients have been boarding with me ever since we did the original Board & Train. Some have become personal friends, many have given referrals. I have personally learned a lot about reading dogs and getting them to want to work for me in the one week I have them. I’ve learned a lot about how different breeds really do think differently. I’ve trained puppies at that perfect imprinting stage of 8 – 16 weeks, and trained dogs as old as 8. They all have one thing in common: they are ALL teachable.

Over 550 dogs have completed training with EF5 K9. Thank you, clients for trusting me with your best friends and pets. Thank you for trusting me enough to call for advise when you are purchasing a new dog or when a new situation arises that you are unsure of. Most of all, I thank God for giving me the desire and ability to teach and to train. It is only because of HIM that EF5 K9 can celebrate “Training since 2014.”
