Working on our new Boutique style setting for Cassie and Lassie - a small company that offers highly specialized services: Weekday Doggy Daycare, intimate, personalized, and cozy boarding for a smaller number of dogs, Dog and Cat Grooming, and an online Boutique (some in-shop items available as well 🥰). As I have evolved and bloomed into the best version of myself with the help of all of our extremely supportive clients who have been by my side through the extreme highs and extreme lows, surviving as best we can through a years-long pandemic and truly seeing and finding our vision after going from a staff of 15 in 2019 to a staff of 3 in 2022, we are right where we are meant to be. The good times, the bad times, the hurt, and the joy have all led to the creation of my dream vision coming to fruition. There is no bitterness and no hard feelings toward the people who once hurt me doubted me or walked away from me because... Amor Fati ~ to see everything that happens in one's life, including suffering and loss, as good, or at the very least necessary. Only great pain is the ultimate liberator of the spirit, it is not that such great pain makes us "better", but I know that it makes us more profound.

My dogs, your dogs, and your kindness have provided me, this business and staff that have stayed along for the ride either as employees, clients or supporters have given me life, passion, and a feeling of safety to be me, to be honest, and to use my story and my journey as the inspiration in how to run this business. I want Cassie and Lassie to be a safe space for you and your pets as well.

I cannot wait to continue this transition and this journey with you. From my crew to yours, thank you for staying on this path with us... detours, rock roads, and freshly paved highways!

I have been making a slow transition the last 2 years to create a business that fit my view of dogs, people and things I love and love to do. Downsizing and really pushing smaller numbers and more personalized care has come to fruition, grooming is growing and the boutique side is slowly taking ahold. It’s small and it’s new but it’s getting there. It’s only the beginning! Looking forward to new adventures and the Cassie and Lassie brand making both dogs and their people feel happy and beautiful!

I am very excited to announce that Cassie and Lassie, INC will officially become the new name, face and brand of soon to be the former Happy Paws Pals Village. I feel extremely grateful and thankful that I was given the opportunity and took a chance on changing careers and owning a business that involved caring for the beloved family dog ❤️ Cassie and Lassie was a dream of mine long before buying the Paws Pals even came into fruition and after 5 1/2 years of a journey that has been a roller coaster of events and emotions, heartbreak, excitement, moments of pride and moments of disappointment, fear and joy, I have spent the last year learning so much about myself, my strengths, my abilities, my power to keep fighting and endure and to believe in myself and listen to the incredible people around me who have stuck by me and supported me through every high and low. Over the next few months you will begin to see the name change take place in addition to some fun additions to the business. I have been slowly working on some cosmetic renovations within the building and plan to focus boarding on a smaller, more intimate scale to provide comfort to both old and new clients and especially those clients who are going through the rough parts of the aging process, or deal with anxiety in larger environments. This has been some thing I wanted to do for the past couple of years but with ups and downs of staffing through the pandemic and some personal health issues that I experienced earlier this year, it felt like the perfect time to cozy up, slow down and focus on love and intimacy within business and personally. I am also opening an Etsy shop that will feature a variety of kitschy, fun items from handmade decor to personalized jewelry to dog collars and dog beds, apparel and merchandise, and a variety of other things. I will keep some merchandise in the lobby of the business for people to look at and will post more information in another post featuring some of the items. I am also building up my grooming clientele. I have been grooming a few days a week this year and expanded and renovated the grooming area in the building. Daycare will remain the same and we love and welcome all of our friends to continue to come and play Monday through Friday! As this is the first real announcement of some of the changes, I will continue to keep everyone updated as we move forward and I am so excited to continue this journey with all of you!

Sweet Ozzie Smith McCain ⚾️ His mom and dad are getting a swimming pool and wanted his long hair cut as short as possible but still keep that retriever coat. I so appreciated their research on the negatives of shaving a double coated dog and I was grateful they trusted me with taking him short without damaging his coat and also giving him the cutest little b***y cheeks 🍑
