A couple quiet girls. Caycee, now 12, isn't a fan of hustle and bustle anymore. She prefers a good nap in a window, a lovely sun patch, or a good snuggle in bed. Rou, while turning 6 soon, is on the same page many days. When she's not glued to Cobalt's side, she can be found enjoying a sunny window with Caycee if she's not on the patio. 🧡🧡🧡

Look at this cuddle puddle! Miss Rou, Flora, and Caycee were piled onto each other. These girls prefer each other's company over the more rambunctious younger kitties. A good snuggle beats a wrestling match for them any day. 🧡

Geordie is such a 💤 couch potato! I mean sure, he loves to play too, but being blind, he's very in tune to touch and loves snuggling. In fact, I think his favorite place to be is cuddling in bed between his mom (me) and dad (). When you can't see, that sense of touch just becomes so much more important. Lucky for Geordie, we will snuggle with him as much as he wants 🖤🖤🖤

This wonderful boy is 3 today! Our festivities were a bit late in the day but were had nonetheless. Treats were a plenty and outside time will be in order when rain isn't on the menu. That's what Mac really wants anyway! Please celebrate with us by wishing Mac a happy birthday, giving your own pets some love, and if you are willing and able, help out help out more kitties like Mac 🧡🧡🧡

When you're caught nibbling on your party foot... ✨ Mac will groom his party foot allllll the time, it's so cute!
What's a party foot, you ask? So, Mac is formerly paralyzed and while he can walk now, there are some residual effects. He walks with a swing in his step, his back legs sit a little closer to the ground, and one of his feet has his toes permanently dorsiflexed (pointed up). His foot with these upward facing toes we call his party foot since it's always up for everything 😂

Mr. Sasha loves to sit on his cat tree after breakfast. The sun is rising, the birds in the tree just outside are singing, and the squirrels are chattering in the grass below. Add in a few belly rubs and it's a perfect day!

Geordie loooooves his nose and eye holes being pet. Like, he will full-on drool when we pet him like this. Something about it must be relaxing! Maybe that's why him and enjoy it so much? Kindred spirits lol

The patio is almost done! The weather is still bouncing between cold and warm so progress is slowed, but it's almost ready for the cats to spend time on. I held the door shut so they could briefly explore and everyone is excited! Even shy little Sasha finds it fascinating 🧡

My beautiful boy. His and Caycee's birthdays are coming up in about a week. I can't believe they will be 12 this year! I'm especially grateful to still have Cobalt around. About 3 years ago, he was diagnosed with diabetes, making him my first special needs kitty. I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to care for him properly but we quickly found that we could most definitely do it! He's also an amazing little patient. Never hisses or flinches. He's the best boy.

Geordie will sit anywhere. Lay anywhere. You have to be extra careful because he will sleep on the stairs or right where you put your feet when you get out of bed. Sometimes he just vibes like this in the middle of a room. Why? Well, he's a blind little buddy! Honestly it's freaking adorable. I may have to watch my feet more but it's worth this adorableness I see daily 🧡

It's below zero here in the Midwest so snuggles are in order to the max! Rou and Cobalt are such a beautiful pair. Rou especially loves to follow Cobalt to snuggle as much as possible!

I watch a lot of nature documentaries and I tend to replay them on quiet evenings. Tonight, I noticed Shanti was watching the wolf and lynx hunting scenes so intently. I wonder if she feels a kinship with her fellow predators on the hunt? She was glued to the screen during these parts, so she must feel something!
