This recipe for home made dog treats can be made into any size and shape depending on your dogs size. It's perfect for making smaller treats when working on daily commands. Being able to reward your dog for completing a command will help that good behavior and let them know they did a good job.

The Ultimate In-Home Program is a great program for owners who don’t have a lot of time to train their fur babies. This program is a 20-session program at your home (4 weeks Monday-Friday). Each session will last 30-45 minutes. The owner is responsible to work with their dogs once during the week and weekends

Your dog will learn the following skills:

Heeling on Leash

Sit on Command

Down on Command

Stand on Command

Sit Stay for 1 minute

Down Stay for 3 minutes

This week was National Walk Your Dog Week. We wanted to take a moment to break down the reasons you should be walking your dog daily.

Every breed is different so it is important to recognize this in your pet if they need more or less attention, but the rule of thumb is that you should be interacting with your Dog for at least 30 minutes a day. A walk is the easiest way to do this.

Benefits of walking your dog:

🐶 Provides Exercise and mental stimulation
🐶 Helps them maintain a healthy weight
🐶 Helps Build Socialization
🐶 Can provide a training opportunity

September 24th marked National Deaf Dog Awareness Month! We couldn't let this month pass us by without recognizing the importance of animals who are handicapped and just as capable of being the most loyal, comforting pals you will ever have.

Tara Latzsch found Kodak in the midst of Covid. She was working from home at the time which allowed her a little extra room to care for a new pet along with Tara and Scott's existing pet, Piper. Kodak was surrendered by a young woman who didn't feel capable of caring for him, knowing he was deaf.

Deaf dogs usually average about three homes before they find their forever home. If not trained properly and at a young age, they can have some behavioral issues.

"Kodak started shadowing everything Piper would do and we realized how powerful it was to have an existing pet to guide our new pet who could guide and help partner us in training him." Says, Tara. "We were able to come up with hand signals for all the basic commands and taught him by doing the hand signal and then putting Kodak in the position that we were calling for. He was a very quick learner and even completed Scott’s obedience class with all the
other dogs!"

A dog who cannot hear can surely create some challenges, but overall they will become your best companion.

"Raising a deaf dog has been the most rewarding experience and he is the most loving and loyal dog in the world. I would never hesitate to adopt another deaf dog someday and would encourage others to

Group Obedience Class
Our next Group Obedience Class will be starting on Monday October 14th at 11am. This program will run for six consecutive weeks. The group class is a great way to meet other dog owners who are going through the same difficulties as you. So if you have free time on Mondays come out and join this class. Here are some facts on Puppy Mills that you should consider when purchasing your next furry friend,

🐶 Female breeding dogs produce 9.4 puppies per year!
