I would like to start this post by thanking Kundu's Aunty for accommodating my calls and WhatsApp messages at odd hours of the morning when I needed her to be a translator between Kundu's guardian and myself. 🙏
We were informed a week ago by Annuja that Kundu's scrap yard will be closed by this coning Friday, and his guardian was leaving the country for 3 months.
With the stressful task of relocating my current 5 happy buddies dogs to other boarding facilities, I was really not sure if I could take on the responsibility of one more dog. However, I am emotionally invested in this old man. Can you blame me?? Look at him.. 😍
Aunty Tattoo agreed to pick up Kundu so he could visit a vet. His vaccinations need to be updated, vet checked, and the boarding facility who has agreed to accept him with rescue rates wants a vacci check done due to his age (9/10 years old).
He will have to stay at the vet for at least 3 weeks. Vacci-check can only be done after 3 to 4 weeks after being vaccinated.
Please, I request your support to help with his hospital stay costs only, 80 AED a day. I will take responsibility for all vet formalities like tick treatment, vaccinations, deworming, and Kennel cough. (We already vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered him 3 years ago.)
No amount is small. 🙏
Once he is cleared, he will join Lulu's puppies in Shoosh boarding.

Thank you so much for taking the time to vote for Pawsome Pets UAE in both or nominated categories. We sisters have been able to relocate so many rescues for over 9 years because of this amazing team. ❤️

P.S. Klaus (kitten is the video) was offered foster support by the owner of Pawsome Pets UAE, Kirsty Kavanagh. Klaus's will be staycationing at one of their luxurious cat condos until he is adopted. I have yet to experience another company do so much without expecting anything in return. 💞

With an extremely heavy heart I have to now admit to the world that It's over.. 4 Deserving Paws has not been a team for a while now.

Taz's with only one priority in mind has focused all her financial support into relocating as many rescues as possible monthly regardless of our ability to handle the financial burden with the existing rescues we have and many strays mouths to feed.

Meanwhile I have literally been struggling on my own to keep up with paying vet bills for the dogs in dubai. Mala, Maya, Nina, Yogi needed their boosters and deworming. Yogi iis in a boarding and therefore he needed kennel cough too.

Also, part of my financial responsibility is buying ALL food and 30 litter bags per week for our very large number of rescues and more food for the strays cats & dogs

I have made a decision to hand over Lulu's puppies to the Sharjah Shelter in the coming days when I can take off from work, I pray to God I am never forced into such a gut-wrenching situation again. Yes, they are a kill shelter. However, suffering in the heat and my constant fear that I will find a puppy dead from heat stroke will be over.

Today is the last day I fed the cats and dogs in Sharjah Industrial area for the sake of Amrita & her puppies who eventually will come back from UAQ Shelter to Sharjah and be solely my responsibility to home or pay for their boarding. Never in a million yearrs did I imagined that I would stop feeding Theo & Lulu or the brothers Tom and Jerry or miss Shairu's dramatic performances for treats,

The words of acquaintances and friends come to my mind as I write this very difficult post, you can't save them all.. I certainly can't save them on my own, especially with the income I make. After all, some of it goes to my medical expenses.

This account will not be deactivated. However, I will sign off. This gives anyone interested the opportunity to see rescues still available for adoption and then contact (Instagram)for adoption details. I can be reached at my personal account.

Thank you all for supporting 4 Deserving Paws for many years. I am very grateful to you all for letting me do what I love for so long.

All three puppies are now approx 5 months old, they are ready to join forever homes.
We are aware that it is next to impossible to home both sisters together. However, miracles have happened.
We are open to adopting out separately.
All furbabies thrive in homes with other dogs.
Nina and Mala have learned to sit if they want a treat and are used to napping in their comfy crate while the door is open.
It's no secret that mix breed dogs are overlooked majority of the time. These puppies deserve to be with a family so that they show their potential and love they have to offer.
International adoption offers accepted as well.

The UAQ shelter has kindly agreed to give us a room for a month for the family until they are all fully vaccinated and ready for boarding. No boarding will accept them while they have only had their first vaccinations.
We need your support to purchase the for puppy and adults from our supplier as Amazon is too expensive.
Please sponsor a bag of dog food 300 AED each so we can arrange for Amrita and her puppies to leave the clinic and travel to UAQ.
Our vet bills will not increase so fast if they are gone. We still have Shay, Kundu admitted, so the bills are still going up.
Please get in touch if you can help us purchase the dog food as soon as possible. 🙏

Hayati is staying with us for a few days. Having a new housemaid has made our lives more difficult. But she needs the added care and frequent visits to the vet.
Today's visit was a walk-in. We didn't expect her to be so weak so fast. We appreciate Dr. Jim for accommodating us in his very busy appointment schedule and despite our vet account being locked.
will be bottle feeding her every 2 hours, and Hayati will be traveling to work with us next week.
I personally don't think she will thrive at the scrap yard. Let's see what happens as she is currently extremely frail.
Only time will tell...

Most of you who have been following our stories know him as Kallu Jr. We were delighted when many expressed their joy when he was finally picked up a week ago.
We have no doubt the laborers who once were his guardians have now abandoned him as we have not been contacted by them. An opposite reaction to when the "original" Kallu had disappeared.
Every time I fed him at the scrap yard, my soul hurt to leave him behind with men who refused to hold him so I could leave without Chase following me to the road.
Chase is at the clinic waiting to be neutered. With our account locked, that might take a while.
We plan to purchase vaccinations, Bravecto tablets, and microchips tomorrow to get all 6 dogs ready to join a boarding facility or hopefully a foster home.

It was an eventful start to our morning. had new plans for us to follow through.
We were fully expecting to start our feeding rounds and then head on to work, but then we saw the puppies laying on the cool soft sand. At that time, all we could think is getting these puppies out of this area before they are used as guard dogs.
Our daily stories are proof of the pitiful existence of the strays and guard dogs the many scrap yards have.
No doubt it will be a struggle to have more responsibilities. However, how in good conscience could we ruin their lives by leaving them behind.
It was God will for Amrita to show up just as we finished loading her puppies in the car. We had seen her before and fed her too. We knew she is a friendly soul.
Her puppies have their mother with them until they don't need to nurse anymore. We will then get Amrita spayed.
We plead to all of our followers to please support us to unlock our vet account so that this family can be tested and given medication to treat them for external and internal parasites. 🙏

Shay has a lot of recovery time, in the meanwhile we are sincerely hoping to get him started with physiotherapy for both his front and the hind leg.
He is most likely to lose more muscle and gain more stiffness if nothing is done.
We were quoted 5445 AED by Modern Vet Clinic in Jumeirah for a month stay at the clinic plus physiotherapy.
The Clinic has a physiotherapist who will do excercises, laser therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation. The nurses will carry on excercises at regular intervals during the day when physiotherapy is not in session.
They have advised us to try a month first and see the progress. If we are satisfied that there is significant improvement we could proceed with more sessions, however we would send Shay to the vet 3 times a week and we would learn to do the repeated exercises to do while he is home with us to reduce costs.
We have the one week Eid holidays to raise the amount they want inorder to start treatment on Monday after the break.
Please get I touch with me if you can assist us with any amount. I will share the vet's bank details
Let us get Shay started on Physiotherapy please. 🙏
Atleast we can be at peace that we tried our best even if he doesn't get too much mobility. He deserves that chance.

Kundu was a brave old man and had the surgery done.
It's important that he has no constipation while he is healing or after, for that matter.
I was contacted by a kind follower who speaks the language of Kundu's guardian. She has volunteered to be available anytime by phone to translate.
and I have scared him a wee bit. Telling him Kundu is very serious. Well, things can change at any time if he gets an infection. After all, the vet had to stitch an area that is normally not clean.
He is on antibiotics, and his Uncle Tyke, the clinic's , will make sure he is comfortable, entertained during Tykr's lunch break, and healthy in no time.
As always, we are extremely grateful to all the at Europets Clinic for accommodating Kundu without an appointment and scheduling his surgery in a very timely manner. 🙏

Her name comes from the colors of her eyes that remind me of the celestial body, the Sun, and Sky.
We had to wait for a chance to pick her up as the laborers would not have allowed it. They considered her a special possession. "Not everyone has such a unique cat like her."
Ever since we started feeding the cats at the grumpy Shairu's scrap yard, we noticed the cats putting on a bit of weight. They get fed breakfast, and I always leave a zip lock bag of dry food with a can of wet food, too, for dinner.
Celeste has severe diarrhea, and when at rest, still breathe funny.
She is on probiotics, doxy medication, and antibiotics.
The fact that she hasn't started grooming herself after being with us for 4 days tells us that she still isn't well. Her appetite is very limited.
God willing, Celeste will pull through and become a very beautiful cat that anyone would want. She purrs when held. She wants to be loved.
We still have another cat to trap in Shairu's scrap yard with an old injury and dislocated hip. She is still eating, which is why we choose to get Celeste out of there fast.
With six rescues admitted currently at the vet, including Kundu , we have to wait and see how our vet bill looks like after some of them are discharged before bringing in more. 10,000 AED is the cut-off. No services after we exceed that amount.

Dr Jim decided that putting Hayati weak hind legs in casts would help her walk and also reduce the chances of getting more deformed.
Hayati needs to be on antibiotics for 15 more days as she is still moving around in circles. Her diarrhea has improved considerably.
The next appointment is on 10 June, Monday morning.
Thank you Dr Selwin for assisting Dr. Jim with making the casts on both her legs.

05/06/2024

Oops, did it again. Declared the wrong gender of a rescue. 🤣😂
In her defense, she couldn't see the testicles due to the deformity.
Dr. Selwin took care of his family jewels while the orthopedic specialist Dr Jim amputated the skeleton leg and also closed up the open wound of Shay's front stump of a limb. Eventually, a prosthesis will be fitted there.
Shay will be at the clinic for a few more days before he can come back to us.
The good news is he is not incontinent. He is able to p*e and poo on his own. 🎉🙌

Today's medical intervention was a team effort.
Yesterday, one of the guardians in the scrap yard who was able to communicate informed us that Kundu hadn't eaten for at least 3 days. However, he was drinking a lot.
Kundu has a perineal hernia. This is caused due to long term constipation.
Thus far, we have been very cordial with his guardians. Now, we need to scare them to make them understand that whatever expensive veterinary food we provide must be used exclusively. No rotisserie chicken!
Kundu has suffered a long time. Our brave "Uncle Tyke" pulled out poo that were stones. The videos were too graphic to post.
He is going to need stitches eventually, but that will happen after they can get his poo to a normal consistency. Otherwise, with constipation, he could rupture his stitches open.
Your support in keeping his vet bill from getting out of hand will be very much appreciated. 🙏
Currently, we have 5 rescues at the vet. Two of whom are kittens from the Khan building. The weakest from the 8 kittens we picked up.
