Fiona and Shrek have an off season baby. I will be pulling for handfeeding in the next couple days. The chick is currently unsexed and just starting to pin. It will be ready for it's new home in about 3 months.
Alexandrine Parakeets are a very interesting and entertaining bird.
Fiona and Shrek are very sweet for never being tame. They both like to interact with me and take treats from my hand. This pair was put together after each had lost their mate. Shrek came from Arizona and Fiona was a California girl. They came together on 2020 and hit it off instantly. This lone baby will be handled daily in a home environment with kids, dogs and normal everyday interaction. It will not be spooked by a vacuum and such and will make a great human companion pet.
If you are thinking about a medium sized bird for a pet , handtame, handfed babies are the way to go.
