Food for thought: For those who choose the diy feeder builds, we have found this newest feeder to be very effective in keeping the feeding trough clean. We have experimented with several different designs to get to this point. This is an easy build and if you need to use PVC pipe instead, you can just add 2 boards along the side of the pipe. Hope this helps others like it has us!

When you know you’ve found some good hay…..Fullblood bucklings, doelings and mature does available. All are or will register at 100%.
Some bucklings weighed in at 60 lbs at 72 days old. They just weaned and are packing on the pounds now.

Larger group is buck group and smaller is doe group.

Ok goat friends. Any one had success increasing a does milk supply. She kidded this weekend with twins. The babies are little just around 5 pounds. We almost lost the buck I am thinking because he was not getting enough milk. We are supplementing them with 3 bottles a day. Dam is eating great and getting peanut hay. Dam has been wormed and eyes are super pink. Could it just be a genetic thing?

I see you!
I see you pouring your heart and soul into those does praying for a positive pregnancy check.
I see you, missing family gatherings because does needs milking. Or one is about to kid.
I see you, sleepless nights hoping nothing goes wrong at kidding time.
I see you, crying because you lost a kid, doe or both.
I see you standing over that prize kid, that just broke its leg.
I see you, struggling, trying to decide whether you should do milk testing , Linear Appraisal, show...or all 3. Because they are all so expensive, but all are beneficial.
I see you, as you are saying goodbye to the old doe or buck that started it all… wondering if you should keep going.
I see you, struggling on which doe to breed to which buck to hopefully make your next super star!
I see you, smiling because it all went right this time!
I see you, smiling because someone called to tell you how much they love that doe you raised. And it is their heart goat!
Keeping going small breeder! Because without you, there would be a lot of people missing out on that once in a life time goat.

The rooster in the basket, or in the chicken meadow

Caruso has been with us on the meadow for a couple of months now and is doing a very good job.

The ladies just love him and like to romp around him❤ He brings calmness to the team, is alert and of course also fulfills his other duties as a rooster

If he wants to impress a lady, he dances her impressively.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to capture this dance in a video

yet, but that's coming I promise
