🐶 SMOOTH: Coat is short and close to the body. Although easy to maintain this coat type is high shedding.
🐶SHORT COAT: It's close to the body and harsh. Is also easy to maintain, but is high shedding.
🐶 COMBINATION COAT: It's short around the face, front side of legs and body, but it's longer on undercarriage, rear sides of legs, tail and some breeds ears.
🐶 DOUBLE COAT: It consist of a harsh outer guard coat and a soft undercoat that is thick and dense to protect them in extreme weather conditions.
🐶 HEAVY COAT: It's a combination of long, thick, silky hair and some short, smooth hair. Prone to mats and tangles this coat requires daily to weekly brush.
🐶 LONG COAT or drop coats are continually growing and considered non-shedding. Brushing is required at least 3 times a week.
🐶 CURLY/ FLEECE: This coat type is considered non-shedding and is soft. Regular brushing is required.
