Now is a good time to check out these dogs available for adoption from the Animal Protection Society of Durham NC. They really don’t like shelter life. Independent Animal Rescue (IAR) in Durham NC is a great organization that pulls dogs and cats from the local shelter and helps members of the community when their animals are in need of a home. Meet Novah: black with white, neutered, microchipped, approximately 2&1/2 years old male, approximately 30-40 pounds, lives with children and one other dog in Durham NC.

His owner is facing eviction because the rules at her apartment complex changed. She originally adopted Novah as a puppy from the county shelter and has had to move once before because of apartment restrictions. She can’t move again. She needs to find a loving home for Novah either as a foster or as an adoption. If interested, contact me. I’ve met Novah and am looking forward to spending more time with him.

Isla was officially adopted today. Look at her posing for her adoption picture! We are so happy for this girl. Isla has been bounced around from place to place but she has finally found a soft place to land with people that love her. Congratulations to everyone! Isla, we wish you every good thing sweet girl!

I saw Isla yesterday and we went on a field trip. She’s still at Caswell County Animal Protection Society in Yanceyville NC. She is such a fun attentive pup! And so adventurous!

Sometimes, bringing a shelter dog home for an overnight foster isn’t very exciting. And that’s a good thing. Isla spent most of the day relaxing and training in her crate.
